The hotel is located on the water, which allows for swimming, snorkeling, and diving right from the pier. The pier is also shaded, which makes lounging a relaxing experience. There is a dive shop across the street for all water activities, and dive tanks are kept onsite. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made my stay very enjoyable.

This was a beautiful hotel and the staff was attentive. This hotel had the perfect view and the perfect dock to go snorkeling. We look forward to use Bellafonte in our future trips to Bonaire!

Property deserves a five star review mainly because of the amazing staff of Carolijn and the rest of the gang (Koen, Carl, Minke, Tamar, Lisa, Ashley - in no particular order) were simply awesome. They went above and beyond. One night was a welcome evening and we were served delicious snacks w free wine and beer. Snorkeling arnd hotel pier was great. Beds super comfy. What else can u ask for? Planning another vacay back to Bellafonte already!

One reason we chose this hotel was that it is non-smoking. However the staff would not enforce this rule and we were plagued by neighbors who smoked inside their unit and the smoke came through the vents to our unit. A real “luxury” resort knows how to resolve issues. We called over 10 times and went to the office and they didn’t know what to do. We asked to speak to the manager but they didn’t let us. They refused to move us and they should have made the smokers leave. We feel ripped off for an overpriced smoke filled room. Do not stay here.

This is a small, intimate hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a quiet spot along the ocean, there is no better spot.

This was our first time staying at the Bellafonte. We loved the location, the amenities (even though parking is at a premium just like any other resort on the water. Staff were amazing and always eager to please the guests. We LOVED the dock area which had very comfortable loungers and was amazing to lay out and watch the fish swimming around under the dock. The house reef was fantastic to dive, and I did this almost every day. We will be back!

I booked this property because it was so well reviewed. I could see where it would be a 5 star stay if you had a nicer room. The staff was amazing: friendly and helpful. There was a happy hour once a week for all the guests which was lovely and the snorkeling was amazing. However, the basic room was a little disappointing. My sister called it the "Harry Potter" room as it was the small, loud room under the stairs and I think the noise was our chief complaint. We faced the road and there was zero sound proofing so you were hearing the conversations of other guests and the parking lot and road noise. Additionally, housekeeping was set up right outside of our room so the carts where always there and there was a lot of noise when they were cleaning other rooms. Our room keys only worked intermittently, even after being replaced twice. We never had enough hot water for two consecutive showers. There was also gravel delivered for the parking lot which got dust all over our bathing suits that were drying on our veranda. If you are going to splurge and get an upgraded room, I think this is probably a great hotel. However, the basic parking lot view room didn't feel very luxury. I think I would stay elsewhere if I were to visit Bonaire again.

Thanks for your feedback, after your stay we have upgraded a lot of our rooms and indeed our parking lot received a new layer of gravel. The studio that you booked is indeed facing our garden/parking lot. Maybe upgrade to a junior suite next time? This suite offers ocean view.

The staff was very friendly and helpful making dinner reservations in town and delivered our food when we ordered from the restaurant next door. Our stay was extended due to airline problems. The staff and the other guests (a great group of people) were so nice. The front desk got us a list of pharmacies when we realized my husband's heart medication was running low. We made it home safely and recommend the Bellafonte to all our traveling friends.

Quality hotel with excellent location. The higher end apartments with balconies have a gorgeous view of sunset every night. The staff is very attentive and have helped us with all restaurant reservation, as well as diving and more. And the best part: beautiful reef to explore diving right off the hotel dock. We’ll definitely return.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful vacation staying at the Bellafonte for two weeks. We were lucky to get upgraded to one of the penthouses which is amongst the nicest places I have ever stayed in the world. The room had a gorgeous private balcony with sunbeds, hanging bed, sofas and outdoor dining area and a ocean view to die for. Lovely indoor area with 2 bedrooms, walk in closet, huge living room and fully equipped kitchen. The staff (especially Yordi the manager) were very friendly and did their utmost to provide a wonderful and relaxing experience. Housekeeping kept everything very clean and we enjoyed the Room Service from the restaurant next door. Hotel has this amazing pier with crystal clear blue water which also doubles as one of the nicest dives on the island. The pier contains plenty of relaxing sunbeds, seating, outdoor showers and dive gear storage/drying rooms. Overall a complete ++ recommendation, don't think twice about booking your stay at this hotel, you will love it. Our only regret was going home.

A great hotel with an excellent staff
Bellafonte is a luxury style hotel that has fantastic views of the ocean. Their is a beautiful reef right off their pier that makes for a great dive unto itself. The rooms are clean, modern, fresh and very comfortable. The staff is excellent and very attentive. Carlijn, Joanna and the other office staff make you feel at home and are always smiling. We were welcomed with a local drink and a bottle of champagne by Carlijn upon arrival to our room which was a great way to begin our stay! Need help with something? Just ask and they will get you the right information or assist in helping you. A great example was Carlijn setting up my Covid test for our return back to USA. . Yordi, the property manager, is extremely helpful. Listen to his recommendations on restaurants and other activities as he is very knowledgeable and up to date on what is going on at the island. Yordi and staff also held a guests party that included hors d'oeuvre and drinks and gave us a chance to meet other guests. The property has relationship with VIP Divers for an on-site tank exchange that is very convenient and they also have a secured area for diver gear storage so you never have to bring your gear to the room. They also have outdoor showers and rinse areas. So the property is well suited for divers. Yordi also arranged for shipping a personal item that we left behind at the hotel back to USA. He went out of his way to do this. Thank you Yordi!!

With that said, we take great pride in being the cleanest on the island and I have apologized to you upon check-out for the cleanliness of your table on the balcony. Bonaire's dust is definitely not a reason to not have this up to standard. Please do not hesitate to inform us about any issues in advance, in order for us to resolve this while you are staying with us. In regards to the late check-out, we are providing guests with complimentary late check-outs until 11pm if needed, however if we have an arrival on the same room we unfortunately have to have guests leave the room at the stated check-out time. However, if this is the case we will always provide guests with a room to change in without any additional costs, just like we offered you. As you wanted to make use of the shower, we did have to charge you a cleaning fee as this room was just serviced for an arriving guest. As your room was not up to standard, we provided you with this shower room complimentary. I would like to extend my sincere apologies if you feel this made your stay any less than perfect. I am really sorry to see you gave us a score less than 5 and would love to know if there is anything else we can improve on and would like to find a resolution to make your next stay with us perfect. We loved the friendly staff. Yordi was great! We had direct access to the water from the deck. The location was good, close to the airport snorkeling area, which was terrific. The hotel was relatively quiet except for the airplanes, but we never heard the planes while inside our room. We got a tour of some of the other rooms and plan to book one for next year. Terrific place and staff!!!

The apartment is large and well designed. Of particular interest is the direct access to the sea, with its incredibly rich fauna. Two steps and you feel you're swimming in an aquarium, with beautiful fishes of all colors. Staff friendly and helpful.

What a beautiful place! Our studio was perfectly sufficient, and had what we needed to cook for ourselves. It's within walking distance to a couple of restaurants and a wonderful food cart. If you have a vehicle, parking is sufficient. The entire staff is awesome; very attentive and helpful.

The location of this hotel is amazing, the rooms were very nice and the suites were huge. The large pier is unique for the shore and offers the best water front relaxing in the area. Swimming and snorkeling off the pier is fantastic and the reef wall just In front of this hotel is fantastic for diving. The staff were great and thier wine tasting and social get togethers were so much fun and a nice way to meet the other guests. The Winsdsock restaurant next door is also one of the best around. We will return to Bonaire and we will be back at the Bellefonte!! Thank you all so much for your hospitality.

We stayed at Bellafonte for our 25th Anniversary. This intimate hotel was absolutely perfect! The views from the room breathtaking and swimming right off the pier out front you can snorkel and see the beautiful fish. Most of all I can't say enough about Team Bellafonte; the staff here went above and beyond to make our stay and our Special Anniversary unforgettable! From helping with car rental, dinner reservations to a beautiful suprise upon returning to our room on our big day. Their care and attention to details is what really makes this place special. Thank You Team Bellafonte! We will certainly be back! The Ross's.

Stayed in a jr. suite. Very well maintained property. Concierge services and all employees very pleasant and helpful. Even though no aIr conditioning in living room the bedroom a/c cooled the entire place down sufficiently. View from balcony terrific. Great sunsets! Also nice to be able to do breakfast there and any other meals should you choose to. VERY quiet property made for great nights sleeping. Quick to get into town but need car.

We loved that ALL of their rooms have an amazing view. The only difference is what floor you're on. We loved how quiet it was. The water is crystal clear!! Though we personally were fine without a restaurant on site, some may find it a slight inconvenience to have to go next door. We were very happy with our equipped kitchen. Staff are all amazing. So happy and attentive. One thing that really stood out was the get togethers the owners / staff put on during the week. Appetizers / drinks social. It was a very nice touch. One we really appreciated. We definitely want to go back and this the only place we'd stay!!!
