Kyoto service industry is famous for it’s hospitality. Apparently four sisters is not up to standard. I stayed there for 3 weeks during the Wuhan virus lockdown. I only knew the hotels didn’t provide housekeeping services after a non refundable reservation confirmation. The hotel added some rules and regulations to prevent spreading of virus which was a good measure.
Must wear mask in the lobby and shouldn’t stay long in the lobby area is the guideline to the tenants, However, I saw at least two times their staffs had long gatherings in the lobby without wearing masks.
Smoking is not allowed but one of the staff smoked in the entrance frequently. I was forced to get some 2nd hand smoke.
I was told the shower head has to be replaced in one of the morning when I was about to leave. I asked him not to do the other day as I have some personal things in the bathroom. He acknowledged but replaced the shower head later on.
The hotel is run by a family living in the same building as two of the three car parks were always occupied by the same cars.
Fortunately the occupancy was low and the tenant upstairs just stayed a short period of time. I could hear every step of them as the ceiling is so thin.
Location is convenient without two supermarket nearby. Quiet area. Bed is supportive and kitchen utensils good enough for cooking.
Hotel is a three storey building. All the rooms on the ground floor is facing walls.
