"The room was nice. The breakfast was terrible. Eggs were awful - the butter was kept almost frozen so it would not spread on english muffin. Coffee machine was broken - had to go to another location to get coffee. They have 2 elevators - one was out of service during our stay. They had a full hotel with a wedding going on. Getting the elevator was not easy - always full of guests. "

"Classic and beautiful. I lived for the complementary afternoon hot cider they put out for guests. Perfect location right in the hotspot of Salem, with it being a hotspot itself. 15min or less walk from anything tourist wise. I would happily book here again :)"

"We stayed here twice during our trips. The pillows were really flat. The water was filled on the first night, but not on the 2nd night. The free breakfast was okay. Quality was not up to standard. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Half the building was under construction. When booking, it did not state that. Disappointed. "

"It was my birthday weekend and there happened to be a huge snow storm. Parking was tough because of that but otherwise everything was great. The restaurant crew was amazing! They were very accommodating and we enjoyed chatting with them. I plan on staying again! "

"Wonderful hotel, very atmospheric with large rooms. Location is decent but parking can be a challenge if it’s busy. Note - this property is from 1834 so has no elevator and is not ADA friendly if you have a walking disability. This is more awareness than a negative since its charm is its age."
