"The property itself is absolutely charming! Staff is welcoming & hospitable. I wouldn’t get discouraged about the area itself. There’s night life and great views alongside restaurants and plenty to do. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are kept clean! A/C was great overall very satisfied. "
"The property was amazing, walking distance to 7 seas and bio beach. Everything was clean, for hot water there’s a switch by the light in the bathroom."
"We loved everything about the property. Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive or good SUV to navigate the road to the property. But once you are there, you will be enchanted with the amazing property, the views, the pool and all of the magical forest sounds around you. Bring all your food and drinks and enjoy this amazing property. I wasn't able to add pictures to this review for some reason but you will be amazed at the interiors and views. "
"Very cute and unique. Had a litter of kittens living outside on the property which I loved. Easy check in process, beautiful area. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. "
"On the edge of the jungle you will find a lovely quite place with fantastic people/owners who will give suggestions for places to go and eat in the area. The breakfasts provided each day were fantastic. You won't regret staying with Jessica and Ruben"

"Delightful stay at Mata e' Platano Guesthouse in Luquillo, Puerto Rico! 🌴🏠 My compact, cozy shipping container room was charming, and the property's immaculate condition made me feel like I had the tranquil retreat all to myself. Breakfast (6am-10am) covered the essentials, and I happily fueled up with their convenient morning coffee machine – iced coffee on demand, yes please! ☕️ Snacks and water were available all day, adding to the comfort. A perfect escape from city hustle, ideal for introverts seeking peace. Pro tip: Uber to the ferry ($4) for a fantastic day trip to Vieques or Culebra. The under-construction suite looks stunning – I’m excited to plan a romantic getaway here with my significant other soon! Highly recommend for a serene, efficient, and cozy stay. ⭐️🌟

"This was our 1st experience in PR. This house was AMAZINGLY beautiful and really show cased the outdoor space!! It was VERY clean, high quality linens. Had a nice cook space. The space it self was STUNNING!! The outdoor space was PERFECTION!!!! We actually booked for the lounge net area, and it did not disappoint!!
**Downfalls [we understand that somethings are out of anyones control so more of a FYI]
-There was nothing "comfy" about the house. It is all cement: bed frame, entire bathroom so alot of sharp edges, the sitting area had maybe 3 inch foam with a canvas topper. When the floor had ANY moisture and you are bare foot YOU WILL FALL! In the master bath between the mirrors have open spaces straight to outside no glass or screen. Which allows natural to come inside the house. Lizards and frogs find there way inside daily. The doors are super heavy, difficult to open but again its a giant piece of glass of course its heavy. At no time did we feel unsafe, with that being said you are literally on top of a mountain alone. And thats scary to think about.
Lets talk about the road. I had never been to PR so i was not aware of how tight and tiny the roads are. The drive to the house is TIGHT & STEEP!! Some areas are so steep our tires would slip while going up the incline! Only rent a SUV, our 4 door Nissan HARDLY made it, returned it for a SUV our 2nd day. Roads are unmarked and HARD to see the edge. The cell service on the way comes in an out as you go, dont rely on it. "
