Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort

10/10 Excellent
"I just returned from my family's recent five-night stay at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar. I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. And upon arriving at the resort, we were welcomed with champagne. We enjoyed the pools (the kids love the water slides) and our evening walks on the beach. Our room had a great view of the rainforest, was clean, and fully stocked with towels, hair dryer, clothes steamer, and other amenities. The food was good. I highly recommend the pre-paid breakfast package. Alejandro, our waiter on more than one occasion, really took care of us. That buffet was worth every penny. The Iguanas restaurant is by far the best restaurant on the property. Not only is the food next-level, by the service is top-notch. My kid really enjoyed the Iguana and turtle feeding with Miguel and Loriemar. Bianca also gave us a wonderful turtle-tracking experience. We took an El Yunque tour with GSI and it was phenomenal! Tony was the best tour guide ever! My only complaint/ surprise was how expensive the food is on-site. You pay the price listed, plus a crazy amount of taxes. But hey, we were on vacation and did budget for financial surprises. I highly recommend Rio Mar. It is a beautiful, family-friendly resort."
