"The room, and venue itself, was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of room for our weekend bags and hanging space for our clothes. The bathroom was also very clean and the shower pressure was good. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly the young lady who served our breakfast, and the kitchen staff kindly catered for my slightly awkward breakfast request. They were also quick to check whether I was fully vegan when I requested no meat or eggs, as the other items were to be cooked in butter. I really appreciated this attention to detail. The downstairs door (below our room) clanged heavily as other guests came upstairs, but in such an old building, I'm not sure there is much that could be done to mitigate this. But because the rest of our stay was so comfortable, we felt it was not that much of a problem, especially as it didn't continue for long. The cost is higher than we'd usually like to spend, but it felt worth the money for such a pleasant stay. "

"This was our second time staying in this hotel. Although somewhat outside the town, it still seems to be a focal point for locals. It covers a huge area and, on both occasions, our rooms were a fair step from the reception but the room was spacious clean and well maintained. The bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning actually worked. The breakfast selection was extensive and well provisioned. Lots of parking at a reasonable cost. All in all, highly recommended"

"Terrible. Bathroom/Shower disgusting, couldn't shower. Mirror was unusable due to dirt, water marks, damp. Mould in the shower, smelt fusty. Dirt under beds, old yoghurt wrappers. Shouldn't be advertised for a family, if had option to stay elsewhere at last munute we would have done. "
