"Had a wonderful stay at Thornbury Castle. The venue itself was extraordinary; a real a Tudor Castle once owned by Henry VIII. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The grounds were well kept and clean and the rooms had such great detail; sticking to the Tudor theme. We stayed in the Catherine of Aragon sweet and it was amazing. The food was delicious with a great deal of care gone into preparation, presentation and serving too. Couldn’t fault our stay! Would 100% return."

"Very nice clean hotel . We had a fabulous view from the 24th floor. Menu looked disappointing for the type of food on offer and there is a modern food court within ten mins walk with more choice and better prices. Don’t stay out late though as hotel bar shuts early. The area immediately outside the hotel is not great and the nearest pubs are decidedly sketchy. Caerleon is a ten minute £10 cab ride away for some lovely pubs restaurants and museums."
