Large doors without actual handles are anxiety inducing and get stuck often, we had to practically bash our way into our room. We checked out early and went to a Hilton instead; the staff offered us credit for the remaining nights as it was pre-paid for on expedia, however they were unwilling to work with expedia on refunding the remaining nights.
South Place is my favourite hotel to stay in for an overnight stay in London. You simply can’t go wrong!

Disappointing
Dated room electronics. TV was old and only had free view. No Chromecast, and Bluetooth didn’t work. We were given a free drink as compensation. Room service was extortionate. We were charged a £12 service fee in addition for one night stay. Not a 4 star experience (except the room service prices - £34 for a sandwich!)

Most of the rooms dont have smart tvs, so was very kindly upgraded. Great service. Prompt house keeping. The manager was lovely. Ordered room service, was a very good roast. Thank you for a great stay. I hope the hotel upgrades the tvs soon. Im booking again in a month lol

The hotel was beautifully decorated. Excellent service. Good size room and wonderful bath/shower. The only thing that prevented me giving 5 stars was that it was very warm and didn’t seem possible to reduce the heating system below 18.5 degrees.
I emailed beforehand to get a bouquet of flowers in the room for my wife they never appeared. The TV system is awful, tardy furnishings.
However for the price its great value for money and great amenities around
