Very convenient location, comfortable and quiet. My only issue was two other guests deciding to partake in, how can I put it in polite terms, extremely intimate activities in the shared living room!! Not the fault of the property I know so it wouldn't put me off staying here again :)

Excellent customer phone service

Location is perfect. However the check in procedure not so easy. The customer service on the phone was delightful and understanding. I would suggest to inform the guests in advance for this kind of procedure.

Cheap and cheerful accommodation in great location

For the price and location this guest house was very good. It was a shared bathroom and the bedroom was clean but shabby in some parts. If you’re going in expecting the ritz you’ll be disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the room was. Perfect for my needs

Verv Rooms Islington

Verv rooms Islington was a perfect stay for us being at an event at New Meta bar just down the road. Located near many different restaurants and cafes making life very easy. I have given 4 stars as I wasn't told until the day of arrival that I needed to give a £200 deposit, other than that though the place was clean, tidy and well organised, would stay again.

Very good

I had a really good 2 night stay here. Room was very big, with kitchenette at far end. Comfortable and clean. Quiet street for London. Excellent bars/bistros just round the corner.

One night only !

The lady manning the booking hotline was extremely helpful,allowing me to enter the room earlier than check in at 4pm .I wish these hotels would specify check in times prior to booking! The room was nice but I would NEVER book a room with shared facilities again ! Having to get dressed to use the facilities made me feel very much like I was a stranger in someone’s house ! Very awkward!!

Great location for me, reasonable priced. Stayed several times already so familiar with entry procedure (no check in, you need to send ID, they sent link for security deposit, you complete, then they reply with entry codes). Clean and nice to see they keep reinvesting and updating. Staying in the exec studio suite as self contained with own bathroom. Good facilities, friendly service.

The hotel is in good location to where I wanted to be. Gaining access was slightly different as there was no reception, I had to call for a code. It was reasonably good value for money. The room was cold however a heater was provided, the bathroom was cold.

Well it was very different to what I thought and unless I missed it, we had a communal bathroom, shower and toilet which I did not expect. It was clean but I wouldn’t stay as a couple. Parking is a nightmare and I got a ticket even though I moved my car twice but you only have 1 hour parking during the day mon-Saturday

Excellent value & a lovely place to stay, it would be hard to criticise the accommodation. However, the booking process was marred by needing either a current passport, or photo driving licence, neither of which I possess. A recently expired passport was declined & communication was poor, leaving me in limbo, having paid, not knowing if I had actually secured the accommodation. It took several days to finally secure access & only then with a £100 deposit, which will take time to be refunded. Sadly, this marred what would have been a 5* experience.

Unique: Great difficulty in entering the property- apparently an e-mail was sent to us on the morning of our departure from our HOME - after we had left. We do not have access to e-mail other than at OUR home. When booking this was not made clear! Luckily a neighbour in STUDD Road came to our rescue. She was very helpful and contacted the ?owner/person in charge whosoever.Even if we had seen the e-mail with the entry details/codes etc it would have been difficult to enter due to the sensitivity of the apparatus on the door.-----NOW aside from that little matter we had an enjoyable stay- we were able to laugh about it afterwards. The property itself is indeed 'UNIQUE'- so we would probably stay there again if visiting the area.

Could have been nice, but wasn't.

It was quite difficult to spot the entrance as it is just a normal door on the street, no indication that this is the apartment entrance. A sign would be helpful. Code didn't work on arrival, which was quite annoying. As it took 2 phone calls and about 10 minutes stood in the rain, before I could get in. Only electronic locks, no physical deadlock on the room door, therefore not great for solo travellers as doesn't feel 100% secure. No hot water in the shower in the morning, messed around for ages, got hot water out the bathroom sink, but the shower was still cold. Really not good for how much this cost.

Poor experience

Let me first say, unfortunately this was the most disappointing stay that I have had for many years. Whilst the accommodation is fabulously located, the quality of the residence and the customer experience has been extremely disappointing. First of all, the system of providing check in details and PIN is flawed. It took me several hours to get a response and finally get my check-in details. I see from other reviews, some other people have had similar issues. Next, it is not clear (perhaps I needed to look more deeply) that this room is only served by shared bathroom facilities. This is not obvious from your Hotels.com description, and quite honestly in this day and age is not acceptable. Again, I see from other reviews, people also suffered from not being aware from your listing. The room is comfortable. However, the carpet is disgustingly dirty, they need to change it, the whole room is grubby. The other problem is the window above the bedroom door. How do they expect somebody to get a decent nights sleep when the light on the landing is being continually switched on and off. I have been asked for feedback, so I am being 100% honest. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this property and i certainly wouldnt return.

A very sorry excuse for a hotel. Avoid avoid.

This ‘hotel’ disappoints on almost every level. It’s unloved, unclean and ill-kept. The photos provided deceive extraordinarily well. A boiler sited above my bed fired up noisily throughout the night. The shower has two temperatures: boiling and paintstripping. The walls are flaking with damp and signs of leaks through the ceiling. Single glazed, cracked and rattling windows (I had to stuff toilet paper into the gaps). Mouldy sealant, dangerous electrics (one socket barely held in by nothing more than Sellotape), towels which smelt like they’d been used to wipe ashtrays, a bed so small, I couldn’t fit in it, no bin in the room, a dysfunctional toilet, broken TVs and zero soundproofing between rooms. The external digicode locks as almost everyone has pointed out are almost a practical joke and my room lock was held in by nothing more than a fistful of wood filler. It’s very hard to understand why someone would want to own a hotel and yet provide such low grade accommodation. Dozens of reviews on another well-known booking site tell the complete story and I wish I’d looked there first. Almost exclusively awful descriptions with promises never to return. I shall do likewise and hope that this stands as fair warning to anyone nearly duped into staying at this complete and utter dump. The litany of complaints, long documented by every sorry guest, suggest that the owners have no intention of improving the offer: it is what it is and it’s awful. Come only if desperate.
