"The room was wonderful. Overall a great hotel. We were lucky to have a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. Staff was great and helpful. Bed was ok. Tips for potential guests: 1) be prepared to pay for a Lyft or Uber to and from subway stations, typically about $13-17 each way. It was a bit of an unexpected expense. It's about a mile to walk, and your feet will always be tired as a tourist in NYC. This will also cut into your tourism time. Count on taking at least an hour or so to get where you want to go, easily. We've stayed right in Manhattan before and felt like we got to see a lot more things last time. They have a courtesy shuttle, but was never available at the times we needed it. I think it stops at 11am and then again only from 5-9pm, and only goes to one station. 2) Breakfast is an absolute MADHOUSE. For a hotel that has so many rooms and floors, they are SEVERELY underprepared to handle a crowd. One station for food cannot handle hundreds of guests. They kept running out of things. The staff worked tirelessly to keep it stocked but it was impossible for them. They should have a 2nd area for food, or have staff serve the guests. It would keep order in the area. Breakfast and a free shuttle were two things that convinced me to try a hotel outside of Manhattan, and we feel like we should have just stayed in the city again. Also, they need to get some bigger shower curtains. They don't cover the length of the shower and water will be all over the floor."

"This is my go to for business stays when I’m back in NYC. What’s great/What you should know: What’s great: 1. Location. In the heart of Williamsburg right near the Bedford Ave ie stop on the L. You’re one stop from Manhattan. Going to other parts of Brooklyn or to Queens? Three stops from the B62 bus. 2. Staff is great. Friendly, helpful, asks if you need anything g. Helped me get into a room earlier than check-in time and were super nice about it! 3. You can decline housekeeping. For quick stays if you don’t need your room cleaned so they’ll put you on a list so you can sleep in without worry of a knock on the door. 4. There’s tons of good eateries all 5 minutes walking distance away. The on premise restaurant is great in terms of service and food quality. 5. It’s surprisingly quiet. Never heard much of anything in my room or when I walked around the hallways. There’s a second floor lounge where you can do work and it’s usually filled and that’s a good thing if you want to be around people. 6. Great for solo traveling. Might feel claustrophobic for two or more. What you should know: 1. This is NYC so the rooms are SMALL. 2. The shower/toilet design is a European/Japanese style meaning they share the same space and drain. When you shower the toilet gets wet. Just be aware this is by design for space and convenience. 3. The rooms can feel like a meat locker in terms of temperature. Adjust accordingly."

"The rooms were very clean and very recently upgraded. The towels were nice, cotton, but the washcloths were terrible. I needed to find housekeeping for the minimum number of towels needed (four guests, only two towels) and when we returned from the concert, the water dispenser was empty and front desk would not have it refilled, saying it was done for the day. That didn’t seem very accommodating. Nice neighborhood, glad the parking was included in our stay. Would stay again."
