"I didn’t eat breakfast,you have to pay for breakfast but it seemed like the prices were reasonable on the menu,I was just drinking coffee"

"The breakfast I paid $25 for (per person) was a joke. A breakfast sandwich or oatmeal, yogurt parfait or muffin, and juice or coffee. The toilet sounded like a 747 taking off and was loud enough to wake people down the hall. The light switch for the bathroom is located in the hall, making it impossible to see what you're doing in the middle of the night impossible without blinding others still trying to sleep. Then, to top it off, they put the coffeemaker inside a black cabinet in the unlit hallway with no way to see you're pouring water into the back of the cabinet. That said, the room was clean, the housekeeping staff eager to please, snd the food and staff in the regular restaurant excellent. I did think charging $40 for each housekeeping was ridiculous."

"The breakfast was superb. The hotel building is very old and I appreciated that the old character and charm were enhanced particularly in the lobby area. The bathroom was nicely renovated in an old and elegant fashion. Our main problem was the sofa bed. Very uncomfortable and old piece of furniture that it was difficult to sleep on. The view from the room was the adjacent parking lot which was an eyesore. Staff was wonderful. While I loved the old character of this historical building but the rooms can be lighten up a little by changing the curtains, wall colors and carpet. It was just very dark even during the day (and it was sunny outside). "

"Great hotel in a central, walkable location. The front desk staff were fantastic, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean, in excellent condition, and worked as it should. It felt safe and the green street and dog park made it feel like a neighborhood. Lots of people started here and departed for a cruise; we were here for sightseeing and this was a good choice to be able to explore multiple areas. Staff gave great recommendations for Biscuit B*tch and Ludi’s."
