Room was spacious! Room design was very modern. The cool thing was the stargazing skylight. There was a slope or ramp to go up the 2nd level rooms so totally easy and effortless. THe large window overlooking the lake and the mountain range was so nice. We could see the sunrise from our bed and sunset colours on the mountains while sipping coffee at the table too. Room came with a bathtub but there was no bubble bath soap to use. Anyways no time as we went stargazing till late. Just 5min drive...

It is a relatively cheap place to base yourself for a trip to Mount Cook, Lake Pukaki or Lake Tekapo. Room was huge, though a little dated. Place was nevertheless clean.

The view from the backyard in clear day sky is why I kept coming back.

The staff, a Chinese young man (forgot to ask his name) is very friendly and helpful. He introduced the small town to us, like where to go for what, when we first checked in. The room is spacious and clean, good for 3 of us. -=

Beautiful place with surrounding mountains and lakes! Lots of walks - a must at Lake Matheson! We also managed to catch glow worms in one of the walking treks and it's absolutely free of charge! :) Marlene was a wonderful host! Most helpful! Thanks heaps!
