"This property seemed especially suited for families. As a solo traveler, it was one of the poorer values among the dozens of properties I’ve visited over the past couple of years, mainly, I think, because most of what goes on there isn’t really oriented to a solo traveler. I appreciated when morning came that it is located on the water, though my visit coincided with rain and fog. The breakfast appeared to be wildly popular, but it was very crowded and seemed to skew to processed food options, so I carried on to Sault Sainte Marie to have breakfast. Though I’d underscore how many happy families I saw, if I’d known what I would find when I booked, I would not have stayed in this place as a solo traveler."

"We’ve stayed at Mackinaw Beach and Bay for probably 10 years as we travel to Mackinaw the first weekend of October. The room this year was clean, and had a few upgrades like a huge flat screen TV mounted on the wall in both sleeping areas. The beds are hard as a rock and the pillows are small… thank God they give you a lot of pillows on the bed! The one disappointment was that they seem to have done away with their continental breakfast. The rates go up but the amenities slowly fade. All and all it was a positive experience."

"Breakers Resort was amazing!! We had a fireplace in our room which was awesome after spending the day in the chilly Michigan weather! The room and grounds were so clean. We did utilize the hot tub and pool. Both were nice! The staff was super friendly! Breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay here again!"
