"Overall, everything was good and the hotel was nice. The only issue I had was that when I booked, I saw that afternoon tea was included for free, but when we got there, they told us it wasn’t. I didn’t like that, and it didn’t give me a good feeling. Even though they upgraded our room for an extra $50, I still think they should have honored the afternoon tea offer, since it was part of a promotion I saw on Expedia. It didn’t feel right to be made to feel like I was mistaken—because I wasn’t."

"Excellent hotel. We had a marine view with a balcony. We sat on the balcony and watched the seaplanes land and take off. Restaurant was excellent. Also has a delicious Italian restaurant across the street. A short block to Fisherman’s wharf with gift shops and restaurants. Very enjoyable experience. Good location. Lots of walking trails. I would recommend! "

"It was my first time visiting Victoria, and I stayed one night at the Strathcona Hotel. Although I arrived much earlier than expected, they kindly offered me a room upgrade and early check-in at a very reasonable price. The hotel’s location was excellent — within walking distance to the Parliament Buildings, major tourist attractions, restaurants, and cafes. Elvie and Ario, in particular, provided cheerful and friendly service."

My son and I got in late from the ferries on motorbikes and he kindly processed us through, provided all the necessary info and went above and beyond to provide a complimentary room step up. A beautiful view of the harbour. The hotel is clean, comfortable and very spacious. I’ll be staying here again. Thank you very much David!!!"
