The rate online was different than what was paid at the hotel. The design of the room is outdated. I was promised to be on the top floor with the city view, but I received the back of the hotel view—the high costly laundry charge for only a few T-shirts and underwear. The gym equipment was dated. I would not re-book this hotel for my upcoming trip.
The staff from the second we arrived to when we left were all amazing! They helped unload our bags and get them to the room, check in was so quick and they helped us with express laundry as we had to left the following day! The restaurant staff had amazing suggestions for breakfast and gave us many samples of local Indonesian dishes we could try!
If we come back to Medan, this will be the definite place we will plan to stay at!

The room was so hot. They sent people to fix the AC but it’s Only cooling for the most 1/2 day. Even the Jade restaurant was warm. It seems like no AC in the hotel. We’re disappointed and found cooling place at the mall across the street. The Services were nice but the heat was unbearable. Thanks.
I liked the breakfast, swimming pool and spa facilities.
I did not like the food in the chinese restaurant Jade which was too oily, tasteless and ordinary.
Best hotel in Medan. We enjoyed our stay so much. The staff was wonderful and the hotel facilities are fantastic - the spa pools are wonderful.
We also had the best sleep here out of all the hotels we stayed at in Medan and wished we stayed here more nights.Convenient location with a huge mall just diagonally across the road too.
If we ever return to Medan, we will definitely stay here
its a good hotel in close proximity to a large mall (that's a plus). It's tall...29 stories with only three lifts (that we know of) so that can entail waiting. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Their customer service was great. The room and bathroom are spacious. However, the room and corridors are not well maintained. The wall papers are peeling. There are visible water damage on the wall and inside the wardrobe. The room condition does not look like five star hotel room.

Untuk Service dan kebersihan sangat baik , terima kasih banyak untuk Cake dan hiasan tempat tidur untuk Complimentary anniversary . Namun untuk qualitas rasa makanan room service sangat tidak sesuai dengan harga yang di bayarkan . Masih ingat pas tahun 2018 saya check in di JW Pesen makanan room service sangat worth it bebeda dengan kulitas makanan saat ini . Mungkin dapat di tingkatkan dan di perbaharui agar customer nyaman memesan makanan di hotel daripada harus membeli di luar saat staycation di hotel . dan untuk kebijakan kolam renang selama pandemi sangat di sayangkan hanya boleh 30 menit per orang rasanya kurang menikmati mungkin kalau 1 jam per orang masih lebih baik. Tapi Overall Staycation kali ini cukup berkesan , sampai jumpa di lain waktu lagi .

An excellent hotel..
Breakfast is good but when there are many guests, I will have to every time switch to another table after collected my foods. (The table I was having my breakfast was taken by someone else).
Very welcoming and warm greetings from all staffs. Clean place (30 minutes clean up used disinfectant) and all (guests and staffs) use physical distance.
I was in another country planning a return-trip to the USA, but when I saw free-cancellation added to this hotel, I decided to go Medan & it turned out to be a good idea.
I tried various hotels in Medan, but this one is the best, safe hotel, with good TV channels & very nice staff.
This was my 3rd time staying at JW Marriot Medan. It was a very pleasant stay, room is big, very comfortable and clean.
The breakfast was quite normal compared to the rest of 3.5 stars and above hotels.
