1. Terrible check in experience, travelling from NZ we were checking in after hours. I tried calling multiple times to ask the process for late night checkin as there was a lock box. The contact number did not work from NZ. Ended up calling Expedia to help again multiple times, they reassured me we would receive a SMS with details. We arrived at property it was all locked up with no SMS. Our NZ mobiles still did not work. We managed to tailgate into the reception and found a desk phone to call the 24 hour number. Was so stressful after travelling so far with the family. 2. Property is dated and definitely needs an upgrade , lots of construction going on. 3. On-site Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. 4. Location was good, trams right outside. Walking distance to lots of places to shop and eat.

Great location for a concert at the MCG and close to shopping too. The lobby is very dingy and the lift is extremely slow. The apartment was a good size, and the bedrooms were spacious, however a number of the lights would only flicker and would not turn on. Pillows were extremely thin and only 2 were provided per bed (queen/king sized beds). The carpet was stained, sagging and very dirty (turning the bottom of your feet black). Noise from the hallway and from apartments the floor above was quite loud too. Amenities (like the toiletries provided) were poor quality, barely did anything so would recommend bringing your own. Overall okay for the price purely because of the location and space of having an apartment, but some easy things they could fix to make it more pleasant.

Overall the place was low standard it wasn’t very clean the couch was filthy the bath was dirty as well including the toilet. Location was good tho close to everything, maintenance of the property was very poor its very diy or cheap fixes have been done to maintain the property.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience with this hotel. Although it sits in a great central location and the penthouse is very roomy, the general cleanliness and comfort of the apartment were so poor. The carpet- worn and filthy. The beds - extremely uncomfortable. Dining chairs- broken. Kitchen- barely functional and countertops were sticky. Plus the aircon had a limit due to “risk of freezing pipes” which meant that the apartment was hot and stuffy especially on a 30 degree day. Although the staff did their best to address some of our concerns, the hotel is simply not of quality. Definitely not a 4 star.

Will stay again. Two bed, Two toilets, large apartment. Poor cleanliness and upkeep. Excellent Gary helped whenever needed. Excellent location. Happily do own cleaning so your not disappointed. Bedroom Air conditioner didn't work. Lovely balcony. Lots of food options all around.

After multiple emails to reception regarding our stay- as the desk was not staffed during our early check out- we have had no reply as yet. First of all- staff were friendly. Secondly- amazing location- right beside Russell/Bourke tram stop. Our accomodation was booked for 3- with a couch available for one of us - totally fine. Only 2 towels supplied. We folded out the broken, snapped sofa bed, and propped it up for a level mattress using the cushions as it was too broken to function. Around 8pm the toilet stopped flushing/working, we called reception and being NYE understood that a call out was going to be unlikely but we were instructed to remove the cistern, and manually press the buttons INSIDE the toilet, which required us to touch the water inside. It is appalling that we have received no response, and while I understand it was somewhat budget accomodation over New Year’s Eve, it is still within the requirements of all accomodation to have function facilities. Accom was also very dusty so would not recommend for asthmatics/allergies. We ended up leaving early to use bathrooms at McDonald’s. Would not stay again!

We were some what dissatisfied. Firstly dry clump of hair in the bath plug hole and a vape in the bedside table. Dirty coffee cups and tatered curtains. The room had a stale smell as soon as you walked in. Dirty windows that you could not enjoy the views: dirty carpets in the corridors and dirty lifts. The spa and airconditioner did not work. What we did like was the location. Walking distance to everything and a tram stop right outside the door.

the property had some big construction goin on, the double bed was 2 singles we had to push together ourselves. the viewing windows were very dirty. the tv didn't turn on most of the time. renovations had been done to the room we had but it was done very poorly. the water pressure was poor and the hot water took a long time to heat up, overall the apartment we got was fine and did the job but for what we got, it was certainly over priced. We would stay again but Id hope it either cheaper or much nicer to at least get the money's worth. please note this review is for the one room we had. the other rooms could be very different.

Disappointing that you get there after work and then your told the lift isn't working and you need to walk five floors and wont be fixed till the next day. To make matters worse i was going to a knee surgeon the next day. There was no discussion asking if that was OK theres your key enjoy.

It was terrible. Our room was disgusting, not clean. Water left in bottom of dishwasher, when you opened it the smell was disgusting. No curtain in the 2nd bedroom. The curtain in the lounge area was all broken and didn’t even close over the whole window. Carpet was disgusting. Would never stay here again

I walked into this apartment & turned around & walked out. It smelt bad, was run-down & although superficially tidy & with clean bed linen, it did not feel clean overall. I could not stay there. I immediately booked & paid for another hotel, returned the key to reception & left. I do not recommend this place in any way other than that when l arrived, the person on the front desk was very friendly & helpful. When l left, the desk was unattended so l had to leave the key on the counter. Frankly, l’d like my money back. l know it was non-refundable but l don’t think the reality of the accommodation matched the way it was sold.

Old building but very spacious interior
Because it is an old building, the unit is spacious. So there's plenty of space. There's a full size fridge, a full stove and even an oven! It is pretty old though so the air-conditioning/heating unit is massive but the place does not warm up that quickly. The washing machine is also pretty old and I just leave my clothes out in the living area to dry since the dryer is a steam dryer. Overall, location is good and if you are not fussed about most things being old and you just want the space or as long as there is a proper kitchen, then this place is good. Also, this place is quite clean.

Location is perfect with tram stop right outside the door. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bed is comfortable but the room was tired and in need of a refurbishment especially the bathroom. Fridge motor was noisy and also could hear people walking around in apartment above at night.

Accommodation layout was great but the bed was absolutely horrible to sleep on. The springs you can feel all over and the pillows where more flat then a towel. Really uncomfortable

Great central location stay hotel
The stay was good, it was lovely to be greeted daily by the friendly staff and they were so knowledgeable and were to answer my questions. The apartment was nice and spacious and warm. So central to all the places I was exploring and meeting up with friends. It's a good place to stay for a short trip.

bedside lamp cord didn't reach the plug on the other side of the king bed and instead of connecting an extension cord, left if unplugged behind the bed. When raised with reception they seemed surprised but provided an extension cord. King bed made up of two singles and were not physically connected - just made up with a flat sheet and tucked in. The two beds separated with just one person sleeping in it. Not a comfortable/professional solution.

The room was not clean. The toilet roll holder was half ripped from the wall with a big hole it in. There was a large burn mark as I walked into the entry. It was very run down and needs a complete refurbishment.
