Sadly Mersing was a grubby and disappointing town. We only visited here due to it being the only place to catch the Bluewater ferry to Tioman Island.

A new low in ‘hotels’. Avoid. Not a hotel but some rooms above an all night cafe. To be fair, the room appeared to have been cleaned and the bedding was clean. Great place to bring your kids
We arrived early (11am) and the staff helped us to hasten the check in. Instead of 3pm, they helped us to settle down with our weary children at around 1pm instead. They also provided us with Brolly when we were stuck due to a rain.
