The village of Juara boasts a bay, a gorgeous beach, mountains, lagoons, waterfalls, coconut trees, tropical plants, monkeys, and awesomes view like this. It has the best of everything natural! We can imagine ourselves living in this magical place one day!
At the southern end of the Juara bay sits an outdoor education camp for kids called Little Planet. It is private property but the adorable bungalows that sit right on the beach make for great photos! The beach is not private as there are multiple cottages along it available to rent. A gorgeous place with incredible, quiet serenity all around you.
This is almost the entire bay of Juara on Tioman Island. I love that the village is tradition with no large hotels or obnoxious buildings to ruin the amazing natural scenery. The beach is great with little to no waves during the dry season making it great for swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and paddle boarding! The area around the island is a national marine park so hopefully that will keep the development down and continue to encourage eco-toursim! This was our favorite place we went in Malaysia!!

Verified traveller

Sadly Mersing was a grubby and disappointing town. We only visited here due to it being the only place to catch the Bluewater ferry to Tioman Island.
