Explore preserved tracts of ancient forest and secluded alpine landscapes and walk through shady fern gullies to some of the world’s tallest trees in Mt. Field National Park. It is part of a larger World Heritage-listed national park that has been protected for over a century. Walk to more picturesque waterfalls, including Lady Barron Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Fascinating alpine plant species can be seen on the Pandani Grove trail around Lake Dobson. You’ll see the world’s tallest flowering tree, the Tasmanian mountain ash, as well as the beautiful seasonal hues of the deciduous native beech. Hike to the peak of Mt.
