"The upgraded cabin was so peaceful and the deep hot bath on the verandah was an incredible experience listening to the wind in the trees and the boobook owl. The care for country walk the next day led us deeper into the rainforest and the tranquillity of the place. The compost toilet was very effective and the be extremely comfy. Everything worked and we had nature visible in every direction through the windows and does and on the deck. Fabulous"

"A property that is well located to Battery Point, Salamanca Market, Waterfront and the CBD. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is clean well maintained and no fuss this is your stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I would suggest maybe you need someone at the front desk during hours to answer inquiries from hotel guests. I spent sometime waiting for somebody to answer my questions. But overall this was an excellent stay and would stay here in the future. Thanks"

"All Reception staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a basic Continental variety. Cut up fruit was good but takeaway fresh fruit was aged and not inviting. Parking was available but at a cost of $25 pn which was well worth it being so centrally located a 7 min approx walk to the harbour and Salamanca markets. The bed in our room was not so comfortable and very squeaky. There was considerable traffic noise from Macquarie St and the air brakes of trucks being heard throughout the night and early mornings. This was from our room that fronted Macquarie St…other rooms may not be as affected as ours was. Overall The Macquarie Manor was very conveniently situated for our stay in Hobart and once again the 4 or so different staff at Reception whom we met over our 5 night stay were fantastic and did a great job."
