"Staff were really excellent - super helpful. Location was a bit outside of the main city centre but the hotel runs free shuttles to/from the city centre on an hourly bases. There is car parking available for a fee. Hotel and room looks a bit dated but has a great view of Sakurajima. Onsen is smaller than what can be seen in the pictures - view of Sakurajima from the bath is unfortunately blocked for privacy reasons. "

"Three weeks in Japan and this was our favorite stay. Very relaxing onsen right on the river. Simply incredible. Short hike to a gorgeous waterfall up river. Full kitchen available so you can go to the grocery store and cook meals."
