"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."
"Quite a unique experience with traditional Japanese furniture and room layout. The owner clearly put a lot of thoughts in building out this hotel by integrating modern appliances into traditional Japanese house architecture. Beautifully decorated garden. Staff were super helpful."
"Beautiful hotel with Japanese garden connected to the room. Matcha room has private outdoor soaking tub over looking garden. Very zen atmosphere! 15 minute cab ride from Kyoto station in local neighborhood."
"The Koubai suite was wonderful. The outdoor bath is very private and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the private garden was lovely. This is my favourite room in Japan so far!"

"One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at ever!! The staff were so friendly, the lobby was beautiful, smelled so good and was very clean.
Super close to lots of main attractions like Nijo Castle and gion.
The room was beautiful, bigger than a typical hotel in Japan. Everything felt brand new. It was my most comfortable stay during our entire two weeks in Japan. It was no trouble for them to hold our luggage until our room was ready and they offered to hold the luggage on checkout day as needed for no extra charge. 7-Eleven close by for those late night snacks and drinks . TV was huge and very compatible with our devices so we could watch Netflix YouTube . Absolutely loved staying here , would recommend to others .Thanks again to the wonderful staff!!

"The hotel is lovely and staff very friendly. It is in a quiet area with a few places to eat. There is a restaurant which we didn't try. There is a free shuttle bus to and from a subway station which was really useful as the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest subway stop. "
"This was a great stay and we would come back here again for sure. We got the room with the king bed and i have never seen a king bed like this. It was gigantic! You could have easily put 4 people in there! It was also comfortable. We used the onsite onsen and it was wonderful. It had about 4-5 pools, one was cold which i loved and one was outside. It was very clean and very enjoyable and had many amenities. There was a restaurant on site, but we didn't eat there. There was a fridge in the room but it didn't have a freezer compartment. "
"The hotel is situated in a lively location, in easy reach to events, shows and tours. Room was pleasant and breakfast was great. Thanks for a great stay"
"This hotel never disappoints. This is out second time staying here and every time we have a pleasant experience. The rooms are nice. The bus and subway are mins away. Many spots such as dt Kyoto, nishiki market, and the shopping arcades, are walkable. The lounge area is beautifully decorated and peaceful. The roof top patio gives a nice view of Kyoto."
