Kilbirnie Hotel

Kilbirnie Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely loved staying here, from start to finish. I have severe anxiety and prefer booking hotels that are part of a chain, as I have a better idea of what to expect. So for me, booking here was a big risk in my eyes. So glad I did. Staff were welcoming, big smiles, polite, took the time to explain everything about how the pool worked, breakfast and checkout times and made me feel totally at ease. So much so, I actually asked to extend my stay by a day which was absolutely no problem. Had an issue one day where a bird had gotten into my room and messed up my bed (my own fault for accidentally leaving the window open a tad too wide) but the staff sorted it immediately when I reported it to them. Also forgot my card key when I went out one night and again the night staff were on hand to get me back in my room! Breakfast was good for the price point. Especially enjoyed the pastries, fried eggs and orange juice. Items were well stocked, staff were friendly upon greeting me in and prompt in finding me a seat. Kilbirnie Hotel did warn me prior to arrival about building work next door, and despite being in a room next to it, disruption was surprisingly minimal. Overall, would come back here again. Staff were fantastic. Big shout out to Catherine on reception! You were especially awesome!"
