North Saskatchewan River Valley Hotels from S$69

"Everything looked old, in bad shape and kinda grungy. The front desk staff was incredibly rude over the phone and only slightly improved in person. The only staff that was polite was the housekeepers. No one else even smiled once while we were there. We did manage to get early check-in, but only by chance. And the pool attendant did opt to turn on the water slide for us when we asked. But the bottom of the pool was very gravel covered, the pool deck was very dirty and there were no towels. The breakfast room is tiny so many people just looked in the room and left. Others grabbed food and ate in their rooms. Everything was messy, sticky, the equipment hardly worked and they only hot food they had was 2 waffel makers. They kept running out of everything because they'd only put out like 8 yogurts and 6 feozen bagels at a time. People in the breakfast room were actually cleaning the serving area and wiping things down with napkins because it was so gross. I even saw strangers sharing food with each other because they had ran out of the item. There was a full time attendant in the room, but she was the rudest of all the staff. She literally waved people out of the room telling them breakfast was over when they had paid for it and it was 9:30 and we were told it was open until 10. She also kept telling people to 'move out of her way' and dispite not having nearly enough seats for the clients, she had one table just holding boxes of jam. BUT IT WAS ONLY $96 so we may be back. "

"Denny restaurant available 7/24. Good food, reasonably priced. Fast foid available within walking distance. Abundance if shopping within a short drive. Staff very helpful, professional and accommodating. Room is comfortable and secure."

"The toilet in the washroom flushed by itself every 30-45 minutes and when we told about it to the front desk lady she did not even apologized about and felt bad even we said we had a restless night because of the washroom toilet flushing every 30-45 mins. "

"The staff here are so friendly and incredibly helpful. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel (room service) and this was also a great experience and the food was delicious. A little bit of noise from the room above and loud neighbours slamming their door but not the hotels fault. Would recommend this hotel and we will stay here again. "

"This property is budget friendly and is located in a central downtown location. The room was average as expected, dated and showing its age. It could use a good cleaning as windows in lobby and room as well as elevators/floors need attention. The breakfast was good with an assortment of options. Pool and hot tub are small but a nice amenity to have. Nighttime outside the hotel is noisy but earplugs help. It’s an older property and expectations should be such. Staff is friendly and service is good. "
