"We booked the condominiums as a treat. Spacious by Japanese standards with two large single beds, large sofa and kitchen facilities. Highlight is the bathroom with your private “onsen” the bath runs constantly with warm water from the hot springs. Divine after a long day. Coffee machines, soda machines, ice pops, foot bath, fire pit and free whisky, sangria and beer from 7pm - 10pm with some small sweet treats. A short flat stroll from Gora station makes this a perfect place to stay to explore the Hakone area."

"This hotel was beautifully designed, clean and friendly staff. The dinner and breakfast buffet were full of a delicious variety of dishes. We chose the cable cars to get there which was a fantastic way of exploring the area from above, but the hotel’s shuttle was super convenient for our departure. "

"The Mount Fuji view rooms are beautiful! Waking up to Mount Fuji view from the window looks like it’s an art piece in the room! Walkable distance to Gotemba Outlet with lots of shopping and dining options. Hotel is able to send luggage from Clad to Tokyo or any part of Japan. 👍 free public and paid private onsen bath for hotel guests. Highly recommend!"

"Lovely hotel, rooms and views. Very accommodating, for a price. Comparatively expensive for the other places we stayed in Japan, but they were excellent. Designed to be a resort, it is unnecessary to leave the property but they made everything in the area very easy to access. Common area and restaurants were very pleasant spaces to relax. "

"Staying at this ryokan was the highlight of a 2-week trip to Japan. The staff were stunning and remarkable in their attentiveness to every single detail. We had a little trouble getting there as it required a long bus ride up the mountain and then we took a wrong turn on foot and got lost (but that was our fault). When we arrived, the staff were waiting and came running to us to assist us with our luggage and provide a smooth transition into the tranquility of their "home." We had the same nakai-san throughout our stay. She tended to our every need from breakfast through dinners that extended into the late evenings. She was gracious in every way and made us feel comfortable. The food was the best we had throughout our tour of the country. We had a private onsen that could have been a little cleaner, but the public bath was wonderful on both gender's sides. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stocked with every amenity we could ask for. We opted for full body massages which were sadly not good at all, but that was the only aspect of our stay that was anything short of stellar. We will definitely go back when we return to Japan. If you're staying in Hakone, I can't imagine finding a better or more wonderful accommodation! "

"The most stunning hotel, onsen in each room, great decor, staff very helpful. The shuttle bus to the station was helpful. Hotel general onsen was immaculate and we loved the robes and wooden slippers in our room! Snacks and drinksin the bar were a great touch too "
