"Room was clean, as were the separate toilet and shower facilities. It was just that I had economised too much. "Be aware that you should only share a room in this hotel, if you are very intimate. There’s a window between the bedroom and the bathroom. They have added blinders for privacy, but you control them from the bedroom - not the bathroom. You have to share a king sized duvet and if you ask for two single duvets, they will tell you, that they’ll bring them to your room, but they won’t. Breakfast: They don’t ask you to book a specific timeslot for breakfast, but if you choose the wrong time, they will tell you off and roll their eyes. (The wrong time is between 9 and 10) The view is amazing, though. And it’s a perfect location next to the station and the park and you can walk to everything."

A basic response from receptionist re hot water, with no offer to compensate, left the hotel feeling unwelcomed and poor customer service For such a prestigious hotel, we expected a better experience. "Clean room and large but breakfast was absolute chaos. The space was far too small for the number of people that were there. You couldn’t move around without bumping into people or have them bump into you. I could sit without people hovering over me and the queue to go and get your own coffee was so long (as it was for the food) that I just gave up and went out for breakfast (effectively paying twice). Extremely poor breakfast experience despite the aesthetics being quite nice and at other times the communal space is very pleasant."
