"Spacious rooms "

"You couldn’t ask for a warmer or friendlier welcome. The food and the service in the restaurant were excellent. The bar was very well stocked with locally brewed beer on draught. Room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. "

"No spa"

"Hi , I hope this gets to you Royal Oak Appleby but I have left a small bag see through draw string with drop emerald colour earring in them that was given to me by my father who has sadly passed away recently , I took them with me to where to yet another funeral , on arriving back I appear to have mislaid them , and can only surmise I have left the small bag with you , could you please correspond with me and I can supply you with a pre posteoenvelopevforvyou to return to me please Thank you in advance for your cop operation in this matter Brigitte Airey "

"Great pub , nice food , brilliant ambiance. Our room was small but very comfortable and functional also finished to a high standard - tea /coffee making facilities were great ! "

"Needs some care rooms very nosy on one side backs on to Lorry park no good food availabe "

"A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area. However it is understandable with being a busy pub with people with work boots and walking boots constantly in and out. The food was good, with lots of choice and well cooked. We had a slight blip checking in but it was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Overall a lovely stay in an iconic pub with a great atmosphere."

"Not worth the money "

"Our stay was fabulous. Its an amazing place with amazing staff and food. Beds and rooms we're immaculate. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 5 star was the dogs barking late at night. Don't know of they were inside or out or both but it was on going for quite a while. Will be back though "
