"The main restaurant. Where do I start ! The dress code T shirts! There is a bar dining for that. Let’s keep the fine dining to a minimum level of a collared shirt . 1 hour and 23 minutes to get the main course!! Potato’s burnt but cleverly served upside down !!!! And cold plates . Such a shame the hotel was great.

"Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service...

"Wonderful Escapism A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid
