"We arrived later in the evening than expected and the staff was very welcoming. The breakfast was wonderful, staff held our luggage while we explored the city. My husband’s birthday was the morning we checked out and they surprised him during breakfast with a croissant and a candle. It made a special start to the day. "

No duvet, just a thin blanket (with holes)it’s reasonable in Price and I liked the central Location. My verdict: it needs much more love and engagement. Staff at the reception was excellent. "It was a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Very traditional, look with many amenities and great restaurant. The views from the room of Lake Lugano were breathtaking. I would strongly suggest this hotel if you’re staying in Lugano."

"Beautiful room and bathroom at the front of the hotel. Had large balcony, shared with other rooms (although nobody else used it when we were there). Extremely comfortable room with efficient aircon. Food in the on-site restaurant was excellent, as was the hotel's home-grown/produced wine. Breakfast also great, with loads of choice. Staff polite and helpful. Some noise from passing trains when windows were open, but being near the station was a requirement for us, and this didn't impact our stay. "
