Small boutique hotel
Friendly staff with a warm welcome. Small hotel situated on a busy road. The rooms are surprisingly quiet with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is made to order and the choice was reasonable with egg dishes or noodles as well as the usual fruit and pastries. There is a spa but I did not use it so I cannot comment. Tuk tuk available just outside which was great as walking in very warm weather and pavements being redone was not as easy as it could be. Cars parked on pavement is the norm. No pool but you can use the pool of a sister hotel. Short tuk tuk ride takes you to a great range of bars and restaurants around Bassac Lane. Minor comment that perhaps the wardrobe In the room could be bigger and have more hangers. If you are looking for a small boutique hotel for a couple of nights then this is a good choice. But if you want a big chain hotel with a choice of bars and restaurants with a large on site pool then you will be disappointed.

A Peaceful Oasis in the Heart of Phnom Penh
Our family's stay at La Rose Boutique Hotel & Spa was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly and courteous - and the hotel itself was spacious, clean and centrally located. The restaurant was also very good - especially for a family with kids that are finicky about new cuisines. The selection of food available made it easy for everybody to find something they liked. This is an excellent hotel that is reasonably priced. And I can't emphasize enough how wonderful the staff treats its guests. I highly recommend anybody visiting Phnom Penh to stay here.

Love the place. Staff is exceptional when it comes to their hotel and spa services. If not for the crappy tuk-tuk service, I wouldve given a perfect score. But the in-room sauna might make up for it. Will definitely book this hotel again when I return to Phnom Penh.

Pleasant hotel but will stay elsewhere next time
The staff turn on the whole Cambodian hospitality thing and try hard to please. The hotel itself is small and old-style. The rooms themselves are large and reasonably comfortable. The hotel doesn't seem to be known to taxi drivers and I had a hard time getting back there after dark, particularly as it is unlit and inconspicuous. Management should get some lighting out front.

Little Gem in a bustling city
La Rose Boutique Hotel and Spa is trying very hard to lift itself up to compete with 5 star standards. The rooms are lovely, the spa/massage excellent and the staff are so helpful. The only thing letting it down is the restaurant. Food was lovely but you are either western or Asian, excel in one don't be mediocre in both.

Welcoming and friendly staff
The GM and staff were fantastic and very welcoming. the service was excellent and staff unobtrusive. I would stay there again. The bathrooms (and bath) are great. A small thing to consider is that there are no elevators ( the hotel is only two floors) and the steps are not consistent in riser size, (some short or some high) so older persons with hip or knee problems need to think about it when using the stairs.

Friendly an obliging staff. The Manager Mr Manny around to ensure smooth running. Freshly made breakfast in the morning was a bonus. Well situated for tourist sites. Well worth trying their dinner menu.

A Warm and Friendly Boutique Hotel
My wife and I stayed for four nights and enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very friendly and outgoing. The room was comfortable and came with Internet, cable TV, fruit tray, a separate shower and tub, safe and hair dryer. The continental breakfasts were made to order and included fresh juices. The hotel arranged a driver to pick us up late at night from the airport.

No Pool
When we booked this hotel, it advertised a swimming pool, on arrival we were informed that the pool was located at their other hotel 5mins away, but we were welcome to use it, we were never informed where the other hotel was. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. We couldn't get any TV reception; we were told the cable had been cut by the government and that it would be a few days before it would be restored, to the hotel managements credit, they did provide a couple of DVDs after my husband, expressed his disappointment. The rooms were not very sound proof. In my opinion the hotel centred around the spa treatments they had on offer. My husband and I did book in for a massage treatment, unfortunately my massage was horribly rough and not enjoyable at all. The breakfast was fair to good. The staff were lovely and always very very helpful. Overall an average stay, certainly not bad BUT not 4 star.

Wonderful La Rose
We had a wonderful stay at La Rose, from the moment we arrived the staff looked after our every need, even going to find my favorite cereal for breakfast. The hotel is kept in immaculate condition and the spa services are excellent. Working together with its sister hotel, this makes it a great place to stay. Heading to the centre of Phnom Penn is fun five minute Tuk Tuk ride.

NIce Hotel in the Heart of the city
Overall my experience was very positive but the only issue was that there was no pool at the hotel. They said they had a pool at their sister hotel and they could transport me there in the hotel Tuk Tuk for free. A nice offer but a little inconvenient. Still a very nice place and great staff.

The real " Special Ones" - La Rose Family .
I had a absolute super experience at La Rose . The " Family" of Staff at La Rose are the best group of people i have come across . Not only is the service fantastic buts its genuine . I would like to praise each member of staff from reception to spa and the excellent restaurant staff . You will not regret booking at La Rose .

Wonderful friendly hotel
We had stayed in this hotel a couple of weeks before and just had a night before flying home. The staff remembered us and couldn't have been more welcoming. This is a small hotel which when inside you wouldn't think you were in a big city. The breakfast is lovely and the staff helped with our airport transfer.

Fantastic boutique hotel
We had a great experience at La Rose. We booked into the hotel, but were upgraded to the new spa location, 5 minutes down the road, which has a pool. The hotel is immaculately clean and the staff are extremely attentive. The location of the new spa section is slightly better than the original hotel, as it is closer to the Royal Palace and river front. The pool is small but perfectly clean (salt water rather than chlorine) and it's a huge relief to jump in when you come back to the hotel on a hot day. We had the odd minor misunderstanding with staff, just because of the culture gap with Cambodia, but as usual with Khmer people it was easy to sort these out. I've stayed in a number of small hotels in SE Asia and I would put La Rose at the top of the list - it was great.

Good location, accessible by tuk tuk to river walk area. Pool is located a sister hotel near-by which was a surprise and a free tuk tuk ride away. Food at hotel was great but does serve may tour lunches.

Great hotel in which to start a Cambodian holiday
We were upgraded to La Rose Suites at no extra charge by the general manager who met us at the door. This was because we had overlooked the fact there was not a swimming pool at Hotel & Spa. We had lunch at the restaurant at the La Rosa Suites. The meal was the best food we had in all of our time in Cambodia. Swimming in the pool and falling asleep by the pool in the afternoon was a good way to recover from minor jet lag after an overnight flight from Melbourne Australia. We only stayed one night.

We had a delightful 2 night stay at La Rose. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are appointed well and very clean. We were within walking distance of good dining options and the hotel offers a nice restaurant as well.

Great small Hotel
On arrival the hotel manager was at reception to meet and welcome me to the hotel. Ate in the hotel first night and the food and staff were excellent. Each day the manager made an effort to speak to all guests and was extremely helpful in recommending things to do. Small hotel but great place to stay - will always stay there when in Cambodia.

Hotel staff very nice and helpful. The hotel was very clean and modern but with charm. The location is on a busy road but within walking distance of the Royal Palace and Sisowath Quay. For safety reasons we got a tuk tuk back at night to hotel instead of walking.

La Rose is situated on Norodom Bvd - a traffic-filled thoroughfare lined with businesses rather than restaurants. Happily, it's a brief 5-10 minute walk from plenty of very decent restaurants and the hotel has a dedicated tuk-tuk driver who will happily take you anywhere across the city for the standard $2-3 charge. Our room was small but clean. The place is a little 'quirky' - as many boutique hotels are: No pool (free access is provided to another) No lifts (2/3 floors is no big deal if you're fit) You walk through the restaurant to get in and out (didn't bother us) Bathroom was huge but not finished (one wall was bare concrete) Staff are impeccably polite and very helpful. One issue blemished the stay: our TV (room 202) wasn't working properly and although we reported this a total of 3 times on day 2 and 3, it remained unfixed for our 4 day stay. (I know, it's a first world problem). Breakfast is generous, varied and delicious. A special word about the spa: Our deal included a free message for my wife and I. Initial feet-washing is done in hotel reception which is a bit... odd (especially with a taxi driver sat watching us waiting for a group dining next door). HOWEVER: My wife and I enjoyed the BEST relaxing massage we've EVER had from Ms. Mealea and Ms. Pheap. Both have clearly had specific therapeutic training. If ONLY we'd not left it til our last night: we would happily have paid for another - despite the cost being a little higher than others.

What a gem!
The Hotel was beautifully decorated and exquisitely clean! All the staff were very friendly and helpful even when we woke them up at 2AM! But, the absolute resounding star of the hotel would be the GM, Many! He was a darling and went the extra mile in every way to make sure we had the best stay! Also, the restaurant was absolutely delicious and very well priced relative to similar establishments! We loved this Hotel!

Amazing staff, superb food and excellent location
The facilities at La Rose are superb, with well appointed luxurious rooms, an excellent spa/massage service and a restaurant that serves delicious food from an extensive menu. The staff at La Rose are helpful, friendly and very professional and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. There is a relaxed atmosphere that is a pleasure to return to at the end of a busy day. We ate all of our meals there as the food was of a very high standard and the menu provided many choices and opportunities to taste local dishes. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome and looked after. The location was ideal, a short trip by tuk tuk to most areas. We would definitely stay here again.
