My husband and I stayed at this lovely hilltop villa for one night so that we could easily visit the nearby Villa Romana del Casale. Unfortunately, the weather had turned cold and rainy so we could not truly enjoy the beauty of the setting. However, we loved the villa, with its incredibly high ceilings and antique furnishings. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast generous, but most of all, we appreciated the warmth and kindness of our host, Luciano. We were especially tickled to learn that he, like us, is a runner--in fact, we learned that all three of us had run the Rome marathon in the same year! Highly recommended.

The room was very comfortable and this great family run hotel had everything we wanted. Breakfast was great, the views were beautiful. It is really well located for the major historical sites in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Luciano was nice and super accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay at his B&B. He made sure breakfast is ready and there’s always bottled water and fruits available for guests snacks. The property has a beautiful view of the town right on the hills. Wonderful quiet at night. Highly recommended for stay at Piazza Armerina!

This was a very nice experience. The house is cozy (not luxurious but very comfortable), greatly located with a beautiful view on the town, and the service by the owner, Luciano, is professional & delightfully warm at the same time.

A beautiful view of the city of Piazza Armerina, and the owner and his wife couldn’t have been more charming. Delicious breakfast. One minor glitch was that the property did not seem to have a street number and was difficult for us to find but the owner readily available by phone and our search ended well

The host was lovely, and the view excellent! It is a close distance form the Roman Villa and the roman villa is well worth a visit.Our guide boos suggested that we get to the Roma Villa early in the day , long before the buses get there.That was such good advise! We were glad that we stayed so close. We packed our bags in the morning, and left them just inside the door of the in while we toured the mosaics, picked up our bags and went on with our trip.Again , well worth doing.

Great place. Parking available at the place. Amazing view from the terrace. Good shower with proper pressure. The aircon was not working properly. We've got a lot of mosquito bites during night so bring repellant. Breakfast table was amazing and host very friendly. Would totally recommend!

This has got to be the most beautiful view in Piazza Armerina, and getting there, as they say, is half the fun. The house is beautifully appointed, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Gabriela could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Five stars all around!

Great B&B!
Great B&B for visiting Piazza Armerina and Villa Romana. The location is perfect. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The views are amazing and the staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is served with something for everyone, and not to missed is Luciano's olive oil. I highly recommend this B&B. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. They go out of their way to make your experience memorable.

LOVELY PLACE!
The local area very historical and unforgettable--a part of Sicily that we were delighted to see. This B and B is amazingly beautiful. The rooms aren't luxurious but they're comfortable and clean; the breakfast room is really homely and has a lovely view. The property has trees and flowers and is just lovely. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. I will not forget eating fresh mulberries picked from the tree with Gabriella. Mil Grazie!

La Casa sulla Collina d'Oro is a very nice bed and breakfast to use as a base to see the Villa Romana del Casale which is close as well as other things in the area. Our visit started as we got perfectly lost as the signs to the Roman villa seemed to abandon us in the center of town from multiple directions of approach. Later we realized that a small construction detour as the town was preparing for the Tour of Italy bike race completely messed up the one signed path to the Villa. But it had put us in a bit of a mood with the narrow congested streets and all as we arrived at the hotel. The B&B was very comfortable, the owners very friendly and helpful, the breakfast plentiful and delicious, the Wifi adequate, and the private parking sufficient for the size of the property. The view after breakfast on the terrace of the old town was perfect. It was a very nice visit. Again the owners were very professional, helpful as well as friendly. We would gladly stay there again should we be in the area.

Fantastic view
After a little difficulty locating the place as we have no satnav it was a teal treat to have such a fantastic view of the old city as our backdrop. We had a little bungalow room which was very comfortable although a little dark and had no wifi service so had to use the main house and the breakfast was a mighty spread.

We visited as a family of three, with our four year old daughter. The B&B was a homie refuge for us. The owner and his helper worked to make us feel welcomed and more than comfortable. They made us tea and coffee in the afternoon, served us sweet treats, stoked the fire in the fireplace, put on lovely music on the stereo... Also, the location is just stunning. The view of the town is beautiful and the building itself is rustic in the best way. Interesting architecture and clean with modern comforts. We happily recommend this B&B to anyone, including those with children. Thank you to our host!

Close to the Villa Romana,, which is the man area.
Luisa and Fabiana go out of the way to make you feel welcome. The B&B is quite charming. Breakfast is a real treat. you will want for nothing. It is great for the gourmand, as well as the health oriented individual. You shuld see the painstaking method that Luisa takes to remove the shells from the wonderful fresh almonds from a neighboring property, before she roasts them--truly, a labor of love.

A great retreat from the bustle of the cities and conveniently located near Villa Romana del Casale. We picked up a hire car early in Palermo, drove to Agrigento to see the Valley of the Temples and then made our way in the late afternoon to La Casa sulla Collina d'Oro. The venue is easy to find with a sat nav in the car - probably more difficult with a traditional map. We had dinner in town, and our best breakfast in Sicily at the house on the golden hill. We stayed with our 2 children. Highly recommended.

I read many positive reviews of this B&B, but now having stayed there, I'm a bit surprised by them. Our room was on the small side and dark, and only moderately comfortable; I thought it was very modest really. Breakfast was ordinary. While there is a nice view of Piazza Amerina from the B&B balcony, the location is well removed from the center of the town and really nowhere. Lastly, I thought 100 Euros a night for this place was rather overpriced.

Charming Bed and Breakfast
A charming Bed and Breakfast in a quiet suburban location with stunning views from the terrace across the valley to the town of Piazza Armerina and plenty of room for parking. As soon as you walk in the door you are made to feel like welcome guests and in the morning the large communal breakfast table is laden with local produce - meat, breads, cheeses, pastries and fruits as well as the usual range of cereals and juices. The location is very convenient to visit the local Norman town and also the world-class mosaics at the Villa Romana del Casale. Altogether a very comfortable stay.

Very friendly owners who made me feel right at home and provided helpful advice on places to eat and what else to do beside visit the mosaics. I had a choice of room and chose one on the lower level with a balcony / patio looking over a small valley to the main town of Piazza Armerina. Plenty of parking available (well sign posted although a little tricky to find the first time.) Rooms were a little basic but clean and spacious. Breakfast included a wide range of foods and, although I left early the next day before the other guests rose, was set up to be at a large communal table which would have invited good conversation with fellow travelers. The main Roman mosaics are a few kilometers away.

Good location, great view, home away from home.
Very nice location overlooking the old town. The B&B has a very "homey" feel to it. Good and spacious room with all the facilities. WiFi and also desktop computer available. We returned from the old town in the evening and ended up sitting in front of the fire with a bottle of wine. You can also sit on the large balcony and look over to the Duomo and old town, lit up at night. Breakfast is at a large table shared with the other guests (good fare). It is a different but very nice way to share travel experiences with other guests.

Très agréable séjour, avec une vue magnifique sur la ville depuis les terrasses. Grande chambre confortable, silencieuse et propre. Petit déjeuner très copieux et convivial et Luciano est un hôtel francophone delicieux. Bien avoir en tête qu'une voiture est indispensable, contrepartie de la vue qui nécessite d'être loin du centre-ville.

Posizione strategica per piazza Armerina, camere particolari, ognuna diversa dalle altre, gestione accogliente. Parcheggio all'interno perché ha un grande giardino e una vista spettacolare sulla collina di piazza Armerina. La città e la villa romana si raggiungono in tempi abbastanza brevi.
