Hotels near Playa de los Muertos

"The hotel has very unreliable internet in the rooms. Moreover, this hotel is really dated--like from the 1970s. I was absolutely surprised that it is called a "resort." What it offers is location--right across from the beach. Personally, I would rather walk one block and feel as if I am in the 21st Century. The curtains are old and ratty, the doors let in light and air, the doors are scuffed and need repainting, etc. All of this adds to an air of dilapidation that makes one feel as if they are staying budget hotel. "

"The breakfast was great, scrambled eggs, toast with jam, cute little cups of yogurt with some granola on the side and even some pancakes and fruit, tea and coffee. Love that the resort is small and you get to know the staff and other guests well! Highly recommend. "

"if ocean side room it’s great ocean views and sunsets nice patio but real basic room toilet take at least 4 flushes, minimum of 3 minutes till hot water arrives staff is great, clean rooms, great location to many great restaurants seconds away, can be loud from music outside but that’s just because your right in the heart of it and on the beach"

"Did this hotel deserve 5 stars? No. Did it deserve 3 stars? Yes, but remember, 3 stars on Hotels.com is "OK". And for about $120 usd/night, on the beach, in PV, "OK" isn't bad. A lot of what frustrated me initially, was the contradictory info we received either through Hotels.com or at the property. When you check in, they give you a "Regulations and service time table" document. There is a lot of negative information, which I personally don't think is a good way to start a week at a hotel. The water was turned off once in the middle of the night and 3 times (that we noticed) during the day. One of these times was for 4 hours due to a broken pipe. We had to ask for someone to come up to the room with a bucket of water to flush the toilet. The maid was great until it was her day off and management evidently didn't think to cover her rooms. They had the room cleaned after we mentioned it. Hotels.com states there is no elevator but reviews mention 2 elevators with one of them broken. There are 2 elevators and one stopped working at least once/day. Hotels.com says there are 3 pools. However, one pool (adults only) is available for a 350p fee (good toward food/drink). The other pools are in a large patio area but there are only 6 umbrellas. Over the weekend we were there, you had to get out there early to snag an umbrella. So....not a bad hotel. Good location for the price. They need to update their Hotels.com info and their check-in document."

"Absolutely fantastic location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our particular unit wasn’t the best as the sliding glass doors opened into a window well so there wasn’t a lot of natural light. Also the pool was super small (too small to swim in). But the location was great. We did use the pool as a dip and cool off pool. The rooftop lounging area was nice too. "
