"It was a nice quite property with an amazing view of the ocean. The hotel has its own shuttle service that can take you to Funchal but also across the street is public bus that is more frequent. Close by is also a swimming area as well as snorkeling equipment rental that you could get to jump in the ocean.
The property has nice clean pools, sauna, spa and hammam which we really enjoy. "

"Spent 3 nights, good location only 11 mins from airport, in front of the Riu hotel. 3 bedrooms, one huge living room, fully equipped kitchen, terrace overlooking the sea and Riu. pool and kitchen garden. Absolutely beautiful surroundings. The hotel rooms are set in gorgeous positions but ours (1116) was very dated. Felt a bit like a very large room in an institution! Bathroom sliding door needed repair and the shower was a trickle. Dirty seal on shower too. Felt it could be an amazing hotel given its layout and gardens but not sure what it would be like when busy. There were very few guests when we were there but the many, many loungers round the

"Incredible resort. From the moment we arrived, the property was breathtaking and very well maintained. It has multiple pools and dining options. The food was very good with lots of options. Reservations for the restaurants opened at midnight and you had to book quickly or you won’t get a spot. The resort offered many activities throughout the day and night. The gym was well equipped. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. When the star gazing was cancelled, they put out the telescope just for us. Thank you Paulo and David! Ask for anything and you shall receive. This resort takes luxury to another level.
It’s far from Funchal and not much around the property other than some beautiful hiking trails. However, the resort offered rental cars right on spot. The front desk arranged everything for us. We rented a car for two days and so glad we did.
Highly recommend staying at this resort. Rooms are very clean and spacious with gorgeous views. Property is on a large hill with lots of steps so could be different for those with mobility issues. Would stay here again and again. "
