"I’ve stayed here before and loved it, but probably won’t be back. 2 hours to check in, zero parking, etc. while it’s a small issue, there were a few broken gym machines, too. Hotel gyms are a big pull for those of us who travel for work, but I was greatly disappointed at how much of a decline there had been since my last stay there."
"Check-in staff was helpful. Room was clean and the location is downtown near plenty of shops and restaurants. Microwave was only available on one floor. Ice was only available on 3 floors. Breakfast buffet was $34 plus 20% add on fee and 10.5% tax. Our breakfast for two was $85. Gymnasium was adequate but leg machine was broken. Bar was nice with helpful bartenders just expensive."
"Horrible stay. Will not be going back. If you wanna check in a bit early they charge you extra, one of their two elevators didn’t work the entirety of my stay so everyone is using one elevator. No one told me before checking in that they didn’t have working A/C, the bathroom doesn’t have a fan to vent, no one from maintenance answers the phone. Called the front desk three times to ask where the ice machine was and no one answered to phone. Asked the front desk in person about the A/C and was told “we left a card in your room about it” which is apparently the reverse side of the card that explains how to turn on your A/C. Didn’t think to turn it over just to be told…don’t worry about instructions to use the A/C; it doesn’t work anyway. Staff had a lack of empathy when I told them my room was too hot. They said they would bring a portable fan after I complained…which they never did. Also, if you want your room cleaned that extra too. Everything there seemed à la carte and nothing seemed to work. Never in my life will ever go back to that hotel."
"Lovely little get away in Capitol Hill. The building is nicely maintained, fun decor inside the common areas, the staff was friendly and approachable, helped with our bags and general information about the amenities. The minor issues that came out are: there are no ice machines anywhere in the building; they suggested we put water into the empty ice tray in the mini fridge- but really? It would be check out time before it was frozen. IMHO they need to install an ice machine at least in the foyer, they have a powder room there, so there is a water supply to connect it. Secondly, the room only had a darkening window shade. Our window was across from the apartments next door with windows viewing into ours, as it was a lovely sunny day, I preferred to let the sunlight in but there wasn’t a sheer inner curtain or window frost to prevent a direct view into the room, that was a little uncomfortable. The only safety issue I found was the tv was not properly attached to the wall bracket, it was loose and when checked, it was missing several screws necessary to make it secure, it is likely to work itself off the bracket in time. Other than that, we were very pleased with the location and the stay, lots of fun places to visit within walking distance. Would stay again."
