This is a large resort. Pool area is great with good service. The splash pad is missing a lot of foam tiles which was very unfortunate for our crawler as he scraped his knees the first day. The splash pad would be great if they fixed this. It is a bit difficult to get dining reservations- especially for greater than 2 people. If you want to try all the restaurants you may not get reservations for all of them and there is no waitlist/walk-in & wait option- it is reservation only. Rooms were very clean! Entertainment wasn’t the greatest so if that’s what you are looking for, I would choose a different resort. The seaweed was cleaned from the beach daily. The swimming area that is roped off is very small. It is lifeguarded and you cannot pass the ropes. Food was ok! I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. There was lots of selection. Room service took a very long time (we ordered it 3 times, scheduled ahead of time to have while baby naps) and it was over an hour late each time. We had a great vacation, and I have no real big complaints besides the splash pad, however I would not return to this resort again.

Great clean property with plenty of options a la carte. Buffet was also very good when camparing with other properties around Punta Cana. Appreciate the fact that the entertainment/party area is completly separate from the rooms area of the hotel, which provide fun when you wanted to and also peace and quiet when you wanted it. Shoutout to Choco and the entertainment crew and Papa John at Irani their Hibachi restaurant. Ive been to plenty, but none as fun and entertaining as Irani when hosted by Papa John !!!

On our last night we did not have electricity in our room and it did not get restored in a timely fashion. I had to complain to reception three times and we felt like they really didnt care. This was a total inconvenience because it was our last night and we only slept 3 hours before leaving for our flight.

This is the most boring hotel we have ever stayed in the DR with terrible customer service. There are only a few bars for many guests, and you must walk a lot to get a drink. There are no bar services at the pool or beach unless you are an elite customer, which makes you walk too much, while other hotels provide excellent services, and first of all, they never say NO when you ask them for anything. There were no parties at the pool or in the hotel; the disco was great, but people did not use it much, apparently; this is very rare in the DR, where people know how to party. Getting a reservation at the specialty restaurants was also a nightmare as they are always full, but when you went there, they have many empty tables. We felt like we were staying at a senior citizen retreat with expensive amenities. There was no live music at any time, which made us think that we did not even go to the DR, where people love to party and music. We stayed in the most expensive room with a pool, and the gardeners passed several times looking at us when we were inside the room, violating our privacy. We paid to have privacy, and despite that, we complained that the hotel manager did not care about it. The hotel staff was great, but management and supervisors must be better trained to satisfy customer complaints. It has been our most expensive and boring vacation in the DR in 25 years. It is also a large hotel; you must walk a lot, while other hotels provide gulf carts transportation for guests.

Mold in bedrooms on the pillows, shades, in the counches. Rooms are mopped but never dried in a high humid area nothing dries and soaks into the sheets, beds, furniture and creates mold. Multiple rooms were this way when trying to find a better room from maitnenance member at rhe hotel.

This property is visually stunning! The rooms, walkways, main areas, and pool/beach area are so beyond beautiful and well kept. The restaurants on the resort are also good - the Mediterranean one and the 18 steakhouse are definitely the best (reservations needed for all restaurants - made through the Lopesan app). Asian restaurant was not the best so I would skip that if we went back. Also can’t speak for the nightlife as we left the resort for that - but we wanted a beautiful and relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we got! Would definitely recommend!

My friends and I stayed for 7 nights at Lopesan. All the staff at this resort were super friendly and welcoming! There are many restaurants but reservations were always full for the next 2-3 days so it was a bit difficult to dine at some restaurants.

The property was nice and clean. The food was amazing. We had to ask for our VIP benefits because they were not given. I didn’t like that some staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there. They had an attitude, even if you spoke Spanish. They would also talk among themselves and ignore you. This is not to summarize other staff who are friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Great people, great views, and great food.

I didn’t but like the check in process. We waited for almost an hour to get our luggage and get to our room. The staff was friendly but not over friendly. We had a good time but not a great time. Probably will not come back.

Very beautiful resort. We went with my two kids and it was very family friendly which I appreciated. The only thing is that it might be too big for kids under 5 years old because the property is so big. Check in took 45 minutes which I thought was super inconvenient. The receptionist disregarded the entire line with a customer who had endless amount of questions instead of just asking them to step aside to help the ones who were waiting. The food was also pretty decent. We opted for the buffet because of the kids and everyone was super nice! The rooms were clean and they came everyday to clean up. There is also no beach or pool side service which sucks because again, everything is a walking distance. Overall, we’d definitely come again with more time. There’s so much to do that I felt we needed more time. Again, the workers were always nice to us and answered any questions we may have had.

I had booked a junior sweet with 2 double beds. I phoned to make sure of my request 1 month before. I was reassured that there were 2 double beds in the room. When I arrived there was a king size bed. I went to the front desk to please make the change. Nothing was done. I had to sleep with a female relative. Not right at all. Completely disappointed with the sleeping arrangements. Not happy at all.

This property is beautiful, the customer service was excellent! Front desk personnel was first class, Helen assigned me a room with a great view, and every single person there, offered great service from the time one steps foot in there to the time you leave. I will definitely come back.

Visited this resort the first two weeks of April for Spring Break. I went with my husband and two kids and had a wonderful time! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. The resort is beautiful and maintained very well. The kids had fun at the waterpark and in the pool. Buffet food was pretty good and the restaurants were great! We loved the Italian and Mediterranean one. Make sure to try the ice cream roll in the buffet it was a HUGE hit!

The resort was beautiful and extremely clean. It was hard to take a bad picture anywhere on the property. Very large property so even though the hotel was full, it didn't feel crowded at all. We rarely had a problem finding a beach chair the whole week. Maid service was really good as well. Always a clean room and restocked drinks each day. We tried most of the restaurants but we were not in the Unique package so we had to try and reserve on our own without a butler. Teppanyaki was already booked for the week by the time we checked in but everything else was available at some point during the week. Italian was our favorite but the dessert at El Charro was amazing with the melted chocolate ball over carrot cake. Coffee shop was great but the coffees are pretty small so we started ordering 2 at a time. There were only 2 issues we had at the resort. The first was the inconsistency of service. There were times when we had people constantly waiting on us at restaurants or by the pool and other days we got no drinks at all and had to settle for water with the meals at the buffets. You just never know what you are going to get on any given day. Most of the drinks rarely had much alcohol in them and not always accurate. The other issue was insect bites in the room. My daughter woke up one morning to 15 bites on her legs overnight. We asked for a new room and eventually got one but it took a lot of effort and convincing to do so. Overall though, a great resort.

Property was beautiful and staff was awesome. The food in the restaurants was very good but buffet foods were ok.

The property amazing but the food horrible my whole got good Poisoning the good it’s cold all the time. Entertainment horrible you would only see it at the theater not like the other restaurant that would have people facing by the pool or lobby. Hate it the idea that it’ say was Family Friendly and you couldn’t take kids to a la cart restaurant. Also the only pool that stayed open late was just vip the rest we close by 6 pm when it’s the time you want to go because sun it setting. Over all the only thing we like was the building you could say it was pretty

So unfortunate as the property was beautiful and was setup well for travel with a nine month old. Additionally, there was babysitting provided at an additional cost and we had a good experience. However, the service was the worst hospitality experience I’ve experienced. Much of the staff we interacted with were rude and seemed upset when you asked for something (e.g., a glass of water, a coke). This started as soon as we entered the resort - the staff at checkout shouted at us for being in the wrong line, despite another staff member directing us there. At the main bar, staff didn’t acknowledge us when we were the only ones in line. We had to practically beg for service. We had several similar interactions throughout our stay. Not all staff was bad - we did have a pleasant experience in the main dining. Sure, the water service wasn’t the best but at least the staff were nice there. Would highly discourage anyone from staying here.
