"Very cool building with a great shared outdoor space. It's definitely a hostel/hotel hybrid, meaning you might be impacted by other guests turning on hallway lights (uncovered windows above doors so light shines through) and limited privacy (shared balconies with guests walking by windows). "

"This is not a 'traditional' hotel with lobby but there is someone on-site to answer any questions and greet you during the day. The building is a restored department store and has lots of character/history but is completely renovated. There is daily cleaning service, a kitchenette with 2-burner stove top, dishes etc for 2, a mini-fridge and surprisingly we managed to make a simple meal and breakfast there. It's nice to have the cafe in the building as well. We were able to drop off our luggage...

Ther is a charming porch to sit out on as you have breakfast with a beautiful view all the way over to the ocean.Unfortuately, the weather did not cooperate for use of the pool. "Olive's Guest House was wonderful. It was very newly renovated. Our room had a beautiful view and was extremely comfortable and private. Breakfasts were delicious. Everything about our stay was great. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Also, Villa Franco de Campo was easy to get around with good restaurants nearby. It was also convenient for all our day trips. I would give it 6 stars. "
