Immediately above a pub. Cancelled our second night and went to a different location because the music was IN our room til 2am on a Friday night and we just couldn’t do it a second night. Rooms themselves are nice. But you won’t get rest on a weekend or during the playoffs apparently!

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the noise from our pub. The only rooms above the bar are our 2 bedroom suites but we understand the frustration about the noise.

An old hotel is fine. An old hotel where your room is above the bar and there is a live band -whoops! - that plays until 3 and they offer you ear plugs is awful. An old hotel where it takes, literally, 15 minutes to get lukewarm water is inexcusable. An old hotel where the toilet doesn’t flush and you tell the staff at 9 and it still isn’t fixed by 8 when you return, is inexcusable. A staff that ‘cleans’ your room by taking away a few obviously used towels and only half the garbage is very poor. And charging $60 to your bill on top of the quoted room cost for an extra person when you have included that person in your original search should be illegal. I’ve booked through Expedia many times and always trusted their reviews. I will think harder next time.

So the good, the location is amazing! Right beside cannery and fisherman’s wharf. The staff was super helpful and pleasent. The pizza place( Steveston pizza co.) right across the street was really good. The bad , unfortunately someone was smoking in the hotel all night and made for an unpleasant night. The staff tried to get him to stop but once they left the lobby/front desk he just kept on puffing away. The hotel doesn’t have anyone at front desk as far as we can tell over night. The manager was super apologetic and helpful after the fact. So all in all the hotel was fine and simple with a great location but think they could have someone over night for issues that arise.

Checked in late in evening so expected staff would be minimal, the person looking after the check in also managed the liquor store downstairs. Once I got into the room I could not get the heater to work but fell asleep anyway. In the morning I had discovered a mouse had attacked my wrapped sandwich on the desk in the room. I left around 7:00 am and was only able to report it to the hotel when staff arrived around 9:00am. They were friendly about it but what was done is done.

Unbelievably noisy. If you want to sleep, don’t book this hotel. Super loud music pumped and thumped underneath our room all night. The noise in the hallways and adjoining rooms was also keeping us from sleeping. While it’s charming in the sense that it’s historic, it has zero sound proofing and was the noisiest overnight stay I’ve ever had. Too bad too as the room was otherwise decent. If you’re going to be up partying downstairs all night then go for it, but if you actually want to sleep, don’t stay here.

Hi there,Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the Two Bedroom Junior Suite is our only room type that is directly above our bar. We do try to make sure that is stated everywhere that this room type is noisy. Every other room type is not above our bar and quiet.

Softer towels, I need an elevator but okay for most people. Need blackout curtains, tyb too deep to get in or out for some people. The mattress was very comfortable.

Location, firm beds very good. Place has seen better days, rugs in poor condition, paint blisters on walls, small screen TV didn't work, and killed a silverfish (insect) in bathroom. Quiet because nobody else was staying near us. Their restaurant was closed for breakfast (staff shortage) but pub next door was great for family dinner, food and server very good.

It was clean an d centrally located. Not ADA accessible...long stairs to rooms. The room was small and overly deodorized. I suppose you could say the it had character.

The staff at the Steveston Cafe and hotel are amazing!! Be prepared the walls are very thin so you will hear your neighbors, but the deluxe rooms are huge and gorgeous!

The hotel was in a great location, right by the waterfront with plenty of choices for dining, however, be aware that everything shuts down fairly early. Most restaurants were closed at 8 pm. There are a few pubs that are open later, but be warned. Hotel is a little dated, but in good condition and very clean, with a wonderful staff

We stayed in a larger room, it was divided. With a bathroom in the middle. Two beds on one side, and one on the other. We arrived a bit earlyand checked in. Geeat area to walk, lots of food options. Cool bar on ground floor. All room up stairs, steep stairs.. beds were not very comfortable. But it worked for us. Me 50, dad, 80, kid 29. Short drive to airport.

Staff is excellent, very accommodating. Our room is clean and complete with all our needs. The only thing that needs to improve are the carpets in the hallway. It doesn't smell good once you enter the hallway. I'm not sure if it's old or it smells of the cleaning agents they're using.

Hotel was clean and they were willing to hold our luggage as we arrived too early for check in. Only disappointing thing was no elevators and the flight up stairs was very long and steep to get to the 2nd floor rooms. We had a person with cane for walking and one not in good physical shape so this would have been nice to know before booking. Even the person who helped us to the room stated he thought this should be noted on the website!

Loved the town and Kove Kitchen
Very comfortable king size room with jacuzzi. Only problem was that the black out curtains do not cover the whole window and they are facing east. Also FYI- no elevator with one steep flight of stairs.

Ok for one night but walls are thin and we hear every noise/talk, etc from the corridor. Lots of dust on the A/C and cleaning could be improved. Old school hotel with friendly staff and great location

Our room (and I suspect most of not all the other rooms) were over a bar/nightclub. The music thumped into our room all night until 2am. The hotel provided foam ear plugs, which was not sufficient to mute the excessive noise. If it weren’t for this keeping us up all night, it would have been a pleasant stay!
