I will be back
Due to a delayed flight, I arrived very late (nearly 1am), but they still managed to leave my room key in an accessible place as the reception was closed. Rooms was spacious and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. When in the area again, I will stay in this Hotel.

I can not be bribed !
The staff of Expedia and its subsidiary companies seem to have a difficulty to understand my way of thinking, or are simply "thick"! I have stated repeatedly, that I will not write any evaluations of hotels where I stayed, until a report about the Sunway Lost World resort near Ipoh Malaysia, where I spent three days in August 2018 has been published! An offer of a free nights accommodation does not change my opinion !

lovely stay
We really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside was that our trip coincided with the cobbled pavement being replaced outside the hotel which was under our window. Otherwise a very peaceful place and the food was excellent.

The cobblestone was redone on the occasion of the refurbishment of the beer garden, so that there were a few minor disturbances here for two days. We apologize for any inconvenience. Schaumberger Rinteln Hotel stay
An absolutely fantastic stay in a wonderful location. We broke our journey to Berlin. Romantic , magical for us.A hotel next to a castle,in a Wald (a forest) so with great walks. Fabulous food an excellent dinner in the evening. Very helpful friendly staff. Great service. We will certainly return in spring ....I proposed here

Beautiful setting. Lovely walks thru local woods with some lovely scenic Vistas. Very good restaurants, friendly staff. Towns like Hamelin and retln easy drive away.

Great Place to Stay
I'm pretty sure we were the only guests staying they didn't speak German but the staff made us feel welcome and spoke English very well. The room was cosy and nice and quiet.

Lovely location opposite an old Castle. Many walks in the surrounding woods with fantastic views and very clean air. The hotel is very clean, with very friendly staff and superb parking outside the front. The restaurant is very high quality with some innovative yet traditional dishes. Overall an excellent stay over near the A2 if you are travelling near Hannover. Highly recommended.

beautiful location, lovely room
This hotel is in a beautiful location next to a castle. We arrived late, but there was restaurant staff available to check us in. Breakfast was included and amazing. Lots of selection. We also had some coffee to go. The WiFi in our area was spotty but manageable. Would. Recommend this hotel.

Excellent service, clean and located in a beautiful area by the castle and forest hiking trails. Two of the finest meals I can recall and the host/waiter Ralph is stellar and the ultimate professional. He made our stay fun and memorable. Thank you Ralph.

Great hotel, quiet location in the forest
We stayed for two nights whilst visiting the local Xmas markets. The hotel is in the middle of the forest with great walks and scenery. It is next to the schaumberg castle. Buffet breakfast was great, staff where very helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean. You would need a car as the hotel was about 40 mins from Hannover airport, we were touring round the area and visited Rinteln , Hannover and hessich oldendorf ... all lovely towns.

We enjoyed our one night stay, driving back from our holiday. Joined the Knight-dinner party which was conveniently held that evening. Love the castle, you should definitely climb the tower.

Dream come true.
Perfect in every way! Dream trip for my wife. Can we stay forever? Beautiful area, hotel, room, and food! The Castle just steps away and right out our window! Even the rain and cold couldn't take away how great it was!

A great escape
A great escape. The castle is open to the public and you can climb the old guard tower (XIIIth century, 50m tall maybe) free of charge. Hotel's restaurant is tasty but pricey.

Fantastic stopover
Fantastic stopover on a drive from Calais to Berlin. We arrived very late after the restaurant had closed but the staff still made a lovely supper for us. Highly recommended.

Mountain-top amazing!
Amazing location! We didn't have a clue we were going to drive up a mountain and stay next to a "castle"! The hotel is fantastic...it looks modern enough with renovations to pass for a somewhat swanky hotel, but the rooms inside are very charming and homey. We were on the top floor and had a view of the trees and off into the distance. We were totally enchanted. After checking in we went over and explored the palace and castle remains. There's a restaurant over there that overlooks the valley below with insane views, but it wasn't open. I don't even know how people know to come eat here it's so hidden! The restaurant attached to the hotel was booked, so we didn't eat there, but it looked pretty amazing. The free breakfast buffet was fantastic! And the staff is incredible attentive. They're really, really nice (and speak English). We had a problem with our tv, and this very nice woman came right up to help us. The wifi is a little shoddy, but that's ok. We really, really enjoyed our night here and would stay again if we ever decided to go back to Hameln.

This hotel was just what we were looking for: pleasant, woodsy, beautiful, and peaceful. We enjoyed walking around the castle grounds and learning about it. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

Remote & Cosy
Stopped en-route to Poland. Wanted somewhere remote and cosy and this hotel couldn't have been more perfect, it was nestled deep in a mountain forest. After sunset, you've not seen blackness like it! We arrived after midnight but someone got up to let us in and show us to our rooms despite not having a 24 hour reception. Internet was tricky to log onto but I mastered it eventually. Parking easy and plentiful in the courtyard opposite. Breakfast was great, particularly recommend the smoked salmon. All in all, just what I was looking for and re-booked for the return leg of the journey.

A little dated but helful staff
This hotel is in the process of having an extension which makes it look unattractive from the outside. The picture of the hotel is misleading - the castle wall is not attached, but is opposite. Our room was very dingy at the back of the hotel with very little natural light. It was also noisy after the restaurant closed as the bins or kitchen were under our window. The hotel is clean but is very old fashioned and 'chintzy'. On the positive, the staff were very pleasant and aimed to be helpful, although there was some difficulty for us as we don't speak German and the staffs' English was also limited. The restaurant is very expensive, almost as much as a night at the hotel for a 3 course meal for 2. The location is very nice, hidden away at the top of a hill, but a good drive for Rinteln.

Enastående charmigt!
Knepig väg sista kilometer, mörkt och vingligt. Men vilken plats när man väl hittat fram! Enastående charmigt med mycket varm och god service. Och en bra restaurang. Kan verkligen rekommendera.

interessante Ritterstimmung
Im Restaurant gibt es viele alte Rittergegenstände zu betrachten. Herrliche Außensitzplätze vorm Hotel. Alles so hübsch gestaltet. Der Kuchen ist sehr lecker. Von dort aus schaut man auf die Anlage der Schaumburg 1400-1500 erbaut. Herrliche Spaziermöglichkeiten. Im Hoteleingang wieder Ritterambiente, doch das moderne Hotelflair überwiegt. Mein Zimmer machte eher einen netten nordischen Eindruck mit schrägen Wänden. Das Bad auf 2 Räume aufgeteilt. Das Frühstück war mit Musik. Habe ich besonders gerne.

Rolige, grønne omgivelser. Totalt antistress!
Endnu et dejligt ophold på Schaumburger Ritter Hotel. Hotellet, der ligger idyllisk og fantastisk stille midt i skoven. Restauranten var desværre lukket - men det gjorde ikke noget, for vi blev inviteret med til “Stamgæsters aften”, og det var super hyggeligt med lækker mad, god vin og venlige mennesker. Vi kommer gerne igen.

Landhotel mit hervorrangender Küche
Wir wollten mal wieder die exzellente Küche des Schaumburger Ritters genießen und haben daher dort eine Übernachtung gewählt. Vor dem Abendessen haben wir die benachbarte Schaumburg aufgesucht, um den schönen Ausblick in und über das Weser-Tal zu genießen. Anschließend haben wir auf der Terrasse gegenüber des Torhauses hervorragend gespeist.
