Fly Deco was a perfect choice for our overnighter in Rome before flying out from FCO the following day. We were able to walk along the beach and enjoyed a nice dinner and evening out. Breakfast before our flight was a delicious and filling.

This modern hotel is on the beach front. There are a lot of restaurants and an open walking mall on the next block. At the time airport shuttle is 15 Euro per person, we had 4 people so took a taxi for 35 euro 5 euro bag charge. The tourist tax applies currently 7.5 per person cash. The rooms are very modern and new. Generally an excellent location.

A supermarket christmas
The hotel was nice enough. But…they neglected to tell me that the kitchen was closed over the Christmas holiday. A lovely surprise when I arrived on Christmas Eve. The receptionist was not at all apologetic or considerate about this - rather, he was rude and abrasive when I asked about room service. Now, it’s perfectly okay that people get the holiday period off work. I did. But the hotel should notify guests so we can prepare accordingly. I enjoyed my supermarket bought cheese and fruit for Christmas dinner. In a room with no cutlery, kettle, or other comforts. The TV also does not connect to any streaming service and the public channels only broadcast in Italian.

We would like to point out that the laundry and ironing service is available among the various Hotel services at a small additional cost. Disappointed that I did not read the fine print on services like Airport Shuttle (We paid 45 Euros to get there and 26 Euros to return to airport.) and breakfast. Supposedly BRF was NOT included--we would have totally missed it to meet the infrequent shuttle service but they prepared a BRF box for which they overcharged. Our very nice room was TINY. Our view of the Mediterranean was very slim with craned neck. Even though more money, we would have done well to stay at the Hilton right at the airport. Hopefully we won't make the same mistake again. No reflection on Expedia.

Dear Mildred, we thank you for taking the time to share your opinion. We would like to make some clarifications: the room you booked was a Classic with French bed, the entry level type of the Fly Decò Hotel. As reported in the room descriptions when booking, if you wanted to look at the sea from the room window it was necessary to book another type of room. The buffet breakfast cannot be booked, it is a kind gift from the hotel and is always included, as is the breakfast box. No supplement is required for the breakfast box. The opening hours of the breakfast room are every day from 7 to 10. We thank you once again and wish you a wonderful day!

We were excited about this property as a friend recommended it from their good experience. Unfortunately, we did not get this. We booked the more expensive ocean view room as we love watching sunsets. When we arrived the gentleman who check us in was not exactly friendly. We went to our room which was on the first floor on the 4 level hotel. I gave it a shot on the view but realized when we got in room the ocean was not visible and we were right on the busy street. So I went down and asked if he had a higher unit. He said he did but we couldn’t have it. Once we went back to our room it was realized the AC wasn’t working, so a call was made and he had to activate the unit. We then went to shower to find out there was no hot water. Another call was made and he again said he’d turn it on. Made us feel very unwelcome. There were no wash cloths and only two small pillows and two oddly shaped decorative pillows. I was so spent from traveling all day that I just didn’t wanna deal with the staff anymore. It was a nice clean room and building but staff was a let down along with room amenities. Not sure it’s a big thing, but there was not English tv to watch. The check in gentleman also told me coffee would be available for me at 6am as we left early to catch a flight. When I went to lobby for that the morning guy looked at me like I was crazy even though I explained the night guy told me this poor information. If they read this it’s more informative to their crew and room preparation.

Dear Bradley, thank you for taking the time to write your opinion. We are very sorry for your dissatisfaction and for this reason we want to make some clarifications. Sea view rooms are on the first, second and third floors and are assigned based on booking history. On the fourth floor there are no sea view rooms because there is a panoramic terrace. The reason why it was necessary to activate the air conditioning manually is because in recent days we have activated the hot air in the rooms. As described, our complimentary Buffet breakfast is available every day from 7 to 10. We take note of what was not to your satisfaction and we will always do our best to offer a better service. Excellent room and service. Breakfast was not available for early departure to airport and cost of van to airport as substantially lower on their website than actual costs. Excellent room, clean with an equally excellent bed. Staff support was excellent.

I stayed at Fly Deco for a night, with a flight the following day to and from Sicily. The shuttle was very convenient to the airport. I selected this location because of the water views of the sea.

Short walk to excellent restaurants and upscale shopping. Really fun beach area with short sidewalk walk to it. Clean water and large sandy beaches. Fly Deco had a large rooftop bar and tapas area with great views of the beaches and sunset. Clean room and very nice bathroom facilities. Shuttle service to the airport also.

Great spot
The hotel staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. Nice showers. Only negative is that sheets were infused with a lavender or rosé smelling substance which my husband couldn’t tolerate very well. Complimentary breakfast was substantial including everything you could imagine. Location is ideal for beach or shopping.

We had a delightful 9-day stay at the Fly Deco Hotel!! The front desk staff are superb and arranged our shuttle to and from the airport upon our request. The shuttle driver did not speak English but he was so friendly and patient as we attempted to use our minimal Italian phrases. The women who served the breakfast each morning were the sweetest and you can tell they take pride in making sure things are in order, cleaned and stocked. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet. We couldn't even tell that anyone else was staying on the same floor as us. The maid was also helpful and eager to assist with an iron, extra towels and stocked our mini-fridge with water. Overall, staff were pleasant, served with a smile and were gracious to us non-fluent Italian speakers. Although, it is not in the heart of the city, we preferred it this way and when we wanted to go to Rome, we only had to walk 4-minutes to catch the train at Lido Centro. It was very convenient and our plan is to stay here again when we return for our next visit🇮🇹!! Thank you for making our trip memorable 💖
