This was our second time staying at La Gaura. The staff is amazing. Breakfast is a bonus and the pool is well maintained. Many restaurants and shops are close by and Euroma2 is only 10 mins away. Would definitely book again.

Very cute BnB. The rooms are nice with an old world feel. Pool area is quite clean Bring bug spray if you're liked by mosquitoes. Breakfast is the highlight.

I loved our stay here. So peaceful and relaxing and the pool hit the spot. In walking distance to bars and restaurants. I wished we could have stayed longer. A wonderful way to end our trip in Italy.

I almost don’t want to write this review as I want to keep this place secret and keep it to ourselves! This place is just an absolute dream - an oasis of calm with the most wonderful staff, location, pool and grounds. We stayed as a family with two children and felt like we could explore central Rome and the sights then return to this lovely slice of Italy, as well as being just 15 mins from the beach too. The grounds are so incredible and given the place is so small, we rarely shared the pool with more than 1 or 2 others. They also had no problem letting us check out later (for no charge) due to our flight being in the evening. We feel so lucky to have stumbled across this place, thank you for having us!

This really is a lovely property. It is historic in nature and is beautifully built. The gardens and the pool are exquisite and the owners are really nice hosts. It is in a very quiet neighborhood but restaurants and shopping is a 10 minute walk. We would unquestionably stay again if we are in the area. I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with this property, especially considering all the positive reviews. The location is quite far from everything, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here without a car. It took us over two hours to get there from the train station because no taxi agreed to take us. We had to use the metro, a bus, and then walk about 15 minutes with our suitcases. There are also very few food options nearby. The property itself is in good condition with a nice backyard. Unfortunately, we arrived after 8 p.m. and were told it was too late to use the pool. We left around 6:30 the next morning, so we couldn’t use any amenities or try the breakfast. The room was okay but could use some refreshing. The bathroom was nice, but the ceiling above the bathtub is so low that taking a shower is very uncomfortable. The AC was off when we arrived and took a long time to cool the room. We also couldn’t open the windows because of mosquitoes. Our reservation somehow didn’t show that we were traveling with a child, but the owner was helpful and provided us with an extra set of sheets.

We had a wonderful time at Raffaella’s childhood home, but unfortunately, we only had a day in Rome before leaving. The house was beautiful, especially the garden! The room was ready when we arrived and was quiet and comfortable, even with other guests. Lorenzo picked us up from the airport on our first day. The next morning, we had a delicious homemade breakfast. It wasn’t buffet-style, but it was a main dish with eggs and bacon, dessert, coffee, and juice. The dessert was delicious, and the cafe was great too! Raffaella communicated with us before, during, and after our stay. I highly recommend this beautiful home in a quiet, nice, and clean neighborhood. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from the center of Rome. If you prefer a quieter, more luxurious experience, this is the place for you. If you prefer the chaos of the center of Rome, you can stay there or split your stay. There is parking on site if you rent a car. There is a small plaza walking distance from the home for restaurant dining. We also met Raffaella’s mom and dad, who were both lovely people. The rest of the staff was very polite and pleasant as well.
