Great location. Small boutique hotel, basically a good room and bath in perfect location for Trestavere and all the must sees in Rome. Service was excellent, very accommodating, getting us transport to airport. Value can’t be beat.
One of my biggest issues with the property was the difficulty in checking in the hotel. The property owner does not speak English and no one is on property after 2:00 p.m.. We were checking in at 3:30 p.m. and the difficulty getting a code from the property owner was troubling. We were in route by train and, if I had not made a friend with an Italian person on the train who called the property owner on my behalf, I don't know how we would have gotten the code to access our room. Taking luggage to our room was also a task, as the staircase is a bit unusual. In terms of care of the facility, there was a huge patch of paint on the wall that was different from the rest and took away from the perception of the facility. Its only great feature is the close proximity to restaurants, but that holds true for many properties in Trastevere. I wouldn't and am not staying here again.
Just one night before flying out, but I loved this place. Rooms were modern, amazing shower, and staff extremely friendly.

So happy with our stay here in Rome. This place is so nice and they make check in and getting to your room late very easy. Even provide airport pick up. Very clean and the most comfortable bed we had in Europe. Would definitely stay here again!!!!!!
Well no person was there to receive you,no reception had to go café across road to ask owner to ring the hotel owner, after that OK,room was nice and Pemme(I think spelt close who was cleaning lady was great and very helpful)great area with good bars and eaters, close to city centre, can walk easy, good place to stay
The staff were amazing: we turned up two hours early (my clock still being on 'home' time) and they were so friendly, helpful and positive. A great base for seeing Rome - we could walk everywhere and loved this area which is full of restaurants, cafes and bars. Clean and comfortable.
Such a great base to explore Rome! Would recommend
Everything was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location. No complaints!

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
No matter what we may like about this place it was all spoiled by poor customer treatment with zero professionalism. We stayed off and on for 7 days and gave a glowing review the first time to be nice but were treated terribly on the last stay over €5 due to an Expedia reservation which had a default to 1 person. They changed the front door code on us and treated us like criminals over €5 we had no clue about and which we immediately paid. You would think on your 7th night of staying loyally with the same place they might have a little respect. We only asked for room service 2 of the 7 nights - used the same towels etc to save them work and tried to be very good guests. Didn’t get us very far.
Very Good! Comfy bed, great common space,
Clean and spacious. Busy street til wee hours below will either make you crazy or make you feel young again lol very nice stay. Will return!
-Terrible check in when I arrived. I was actually stranded outside in the cold for an hour before the manager sent me instructions on how to get in. She did not answer her phone for half an hour and even after talking with her, it took her another half hour to send me instructions.
-No hot water in the shower.
-No Wifi in the room the first two nights, as instructions in the room were outdated.
-On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and the location excellent. Housekeeping was also outstanding.
A lovely Guest House close to wonderful resturants, shops, and churches all in walkung distance! Friendly staff! Make sure to call the day before you arrive if airport pick-up is needed and if you are arriving outside the times staff is not in the building.

I did not realize that I would have to go up a flight of steps. I wounded something on the ground floor because I have bad knees. So if you have any difficulty with steps this is not the place to stay. Otherwise, the place was nice and clean and very quaint region noted for its resteraunts. It has Cobblestone roads lots of shops and eating places nearby. public transportation is within walking distance.
This was a lovely place to stay, in a small house in Trestevere, right by lots of fab restaurants and bars. Our room was large and clean. We were greeted when we arrived and given a telephone number if we needed any help and a map. Someone was there to clean every morning but not on the premises otherwise, so the lack of staff was disappointing. Furthermore we were offered breakfast snacks of cake and biscuit but none of the usual options like eggs or fruit as they had stopped providing these due we were told to “complications”.
We have spent several weeks travelling through Italy and this is the second time we have come across hotels with no staff present most of the time - both called themselves Relais, so its something to watch out for in my view. They charge hotel prices still but dont provide the same level of service. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay.
I stayed at Relais Casa della Fornarina for 4 days in September. The room was spacious and clean. Check-in details came by e-mail in advance, so late arrival was no problem. Wi-Fi and air-conditioning worked perfectly. The staff was helpful and gave advise on nice local places for breakfast. There was also a coffee maker and some breakfast biscuits / cakes available in a dedicated area for guests. The location is perfect - most sights in walking distance.
This hotel is in an amazing location in Trastevere, walking distance from pretty much anything in Rome. The room was really clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was modern and overall is was a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.
