"My husband and I had the absolute best time here! The host provided a delicious breakfast every morning and wonderful cookies at tea time in the afternoon. The stay really enhanced the charm of staying on the island! We also had the pleasure of meeting the Innkeepers dog, Roma! "
"This was a lovely and affordable place to stay. There are nicer places, but none are really better. It is a bit dated but still comfortable. I would not hesitate to go back again!"
"This Inn has a lot of charm. It is a historic building on Mackinac. The wrap around second floor porch was a great place to have breakfast in the morning. We were so busy on the island that we did not have time to use the spa. The fudge sold at the Inn was better than some of the fudge at the fudge stores and they were generous with allowing my kids to sample a variety of the fudge. The breakfast was a continental breakfast, with hard boiled eggs, but it was enough to get our day started. When we arrived they had a porter bring our bags from the dock and they held our bags until our room was available and then placed them in our room. We could even access them if needed until our room was ready. "
"Overall visit was great. Breakfast though could certainly use more options and time considering amount of people. The front desk and cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly!! Would definitely stay again!"
"This is a great, basic, not fancy clean motel. The location is great for the ferry to Mackinaw, just a few minutes from Shepler's dock. Thanks to the motel front desk staff for giving us good information about shuttles and getting the ferry to Mackinaw Island. DON"T pay 15.00 to park at Shepler's lot, call them and the nice shuttle will pick you up in minutes from this motel. Tip the driver, they are super nice.
There is an excellent cafe for breakfast and lunch across the parking lot called the wild blueberry breakfast and bakery. Super short walk.
We would definitely stay here again, especially for the price. Nice basic convenient place.
