"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"Place was disgusting. Was full of dust. Was definitely not cleaned before giving us a room. There was evidence of male ejaculation on the side of the bed and the room had cockroaches. The water in the bathroom also doesn't stay hot. Super difficult to get around without a car . Would not go here they should take this off Expedia."

"This hotel is amazing! The room was very nice, and they make a great experience for travellers in the reception area. It’s walkable distance to a lot of sightseeing areas, and otherwise had a metro station and bus stops next door that can take you anywhere. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again! "

"This is a super fun, artsy and unique hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood in Kyoto. We stayed in the “game otaku” room with a cozy swing chair. The room was quite large by Japanese standards (queen size bed & a loft with room for 3 futons). It was very comfortable for our family of 3 (parents & teenager). We enjoyed interacting with the friendly & helpful international staff. The lobby has a huge Manga library (including some in English), and some fun retro game systems. The location is...

"we had an amazing time at Seryo!! the staff was immediately incredibly welcoming and showed us all the amenities and our wonderful room with a perfect garden view. the food was incredible and they even adjusted everything to be vegan for me!! we unfortunately had a less than desired experience at a different ryokan right after our perfect experience at Seryo which just affirmed that Seryo was the right decision!! highly recommend and would love to go back again in the future! "
"Great onsen onsite and a traditional tatami experience. Guests are required to take your shoes off when you arrive at the hotel which adds to the hominess of the stay"

10/10 Excellent
"Extremely clean and spacious rooms. Located in more of a park setting near the exhibition hall. Very easy access to the underground which is very clean, efficient and reasonably priced. Approximately 20 minutes from station to Kyoto downtown and JR station. The rooms themselves almost have a bit of a retro feel but in new condition. Very peaceful and tranquil rooms and nice bathrooms. Would definitely recommend. "
"Everything was amazing, the staff were very personable and always kind. The hotel was beautiful and luxurious. There was nothing more I couldve asked for. I was extremely satisfied."
