The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"There’s lots great about this place but it’s got its quirks. It’s spacious and would be great for a family or larger group. It’s conveniently located about 10min walk from the train station. There’s a few pubs and a gas station for food nearby. Great if you’re going to a show nearby. It was very loud when we stayed there with traffic and the unit below us. The lock on the front door is picky and we got locked in for a while and had to call the owner. They were very responsive and helpful though....

"We have stayed her before - a few years ago - and purposely chose this hotel as we liked its situation. Great location and the room and bedding were very clean. We had a fan in the room which was necessary in this warm weather and the room was very comfortable with complimentary tea and coffee. Also, we had the bonus of a great breakfast which we weren’t aware of, but a most welcome addition and had a great choice of everything you would want. Car parking is in the NCP across the road, which is different to our previous visit when there was hotel parking (this is now closed and a building site) and £32 for 24 hours. Staff were courteous and friendly and check in was easy. We had a good stay, but the hotel, although beautiful, is old and could do with some investment in the structure and decoration, but it was absolutely suitable for our short visit."

Quiet and a good nights sleep…but… Very disappointed you had to pay extra to use the pool as the hotel is not a cheap option. Breakfast was disappointing- felt mass produced and not much space around the tables. Staff pleasant but we didn’t feel special. On balance great location but expensive."

"A nice clean hotel with large rooms. My only complaints would be the £10 charge to use the swimming pool (yes, it included the sauna and steam room but I only wanted to swim). Also the reception desk was not staffed when we tried to check out just after 0800hrs on the Sunday morning."
