Very disappointing hotel - old,m and neglected
We booked this "5-star" hotel and it definitely can NOT be considered a 5-star hotel. It has the look of being great in the past, but it has become rundown and old, with much neglect. We had many problems during our stay: - the kettle was broken - our keycard kept reseting - the AC is movement- sensored so at night it gets hot -no phone in the room to contact reception - the worst: someone entered our room at 11pm, just as we were about to fall asleep. They did not knock, but they wuickly shut the door. We were very annoyed and when we approached the manager she said the man had been given the wrong paper of empty rooms, so it was the hotel's fault. She said she would give us something extra, and all it was were a few hours extra check out time Overall we were very disappointed with our stay. 5 star means the service should be on point. All these problems should not be occurring in a 5 star place

On e apone a time this would of been a nice hotel…. Why are people allowed to book places when there was the unrest that was happening in Santa Cruz ?!?!? I had 4 night stay nothing open I left after 1 night to la Paz Asked for refund nothing…. Not hotels fault but will never return to bolivia

In the heart of the old city
Excellent location, in the heart of the old city. Very comfortable suit room. Old building and need little bit more maintenance. My suit was just under the roof top bar. The biggest problem was all the papers, like napkins and bills, was coming from the bar to our balcony with the wind. Hotel should try to start to keep clean the roof top bar then they could keep clean the rooms. Other than this no issue at all. I like our stay and will be in the same hotel if we go back to Santa Cruz in the future.

Excellent
The service people were excellent considering the hardships they had to endure because of the policial situation in the country. They were cheerful and helpful. Room was clean and cool. It is too bad that the restaurant downstairs or the corridors leading to rooms cannot be airconditioned because of building design. Overall I had a pleasant stay. I will definitely stay there again.

Very old property. Toilet water came out at the bottom. Had to switch rooms. You could hear everything from the other rooms. Loud all the time do to non existent insulation. No heating and it was winter ;(. Do not recommend!

Comfortable, Clean and Convenient.
I was in Santa Cruz for a family event. It was great to be steps from the central Plaza and Cathedral. Staff was welcoming and responsive: willing to go the extra mile. The room was bright and clean, with a spacious and equally clean bathroom. Breakfast was included, served until 10 am. The offering included cereals, local baked goods (cuñapé, for this in the know) fruit, cold meat and cheese, and omelets made to order. I've attached a photo taken from the breakfast room, looking out onto the plaza. There's a restaurant on the street level, too. We had a couple of late dinners. There's a night club on the roof level with very good views, but we didn't get to do more than check it out after hours late one night. It seems to have a pool and some kind of health club or spa. WiFi was available, but occasionally temperamental. I think it's up to local standards, though. All in all, very comfortable, very convenient. I'd stay here again.

A gem in Santa Cruz

Due to problems with Expedia reservation (reserved and payed with month in advance), when we arrived the hotel staff doesn't say nothing to us, except a generic problem on the system. They said that in 10-15 mins everything will be ok but after 1h 30m nothing happened and they didn't say nothing to us (at 1.00 AM). Finally at 01.30 AM (after we asked) they explained us about the reservation problem and they moved us to another company's hotel and confirmed a lunch or dinner as excuse for the accident. In the other place they knew nothing about the problem and after 30 mins they gave us a room. The next morning they changed only one of the two towels (one was disappeard). They didn't say nothing about the lunch/dinner and only pay for us the taxi to the airport (probably the service was already included). If I pay for a 5 stars hotel I pretend 5 stars service. We was really disappointed...

Santa Cruz stay
My friend and i stayed at Senses both before and after a trip around the Jesuit Mission Circuit. Its a very well situated hotel more or less on the main square.Very reasonably priced for what it offered.It has a restaurant on the top floor which we didnt use and a coffee shop.Pleasant young helpful staff most with english ranging from good to ok.My only criticism would be breakfast was 7 am onwards and our planes on 2 occasions required a 6 30 departure...

Great central location
The hotel is in a great location next to the main square and all the shops and cafes. The hotel is a bit quirky with space age type theme. My only complaint is its a bit noisy with the rooftop bar and the the thin walls which allows next door room noise to be easily heard.

Disappointed with this Hotel
I consider myself a person with a lot of patience but this time I have to say something with this experience. Staff didn't have room ready. Their furniture very uncomfortable. First day. Night tables were not stable i couldn't put in top my phone because the table was falling apart. Phone room was not connected. Electric connections were not safe. Almost I electrocuted trying to connect the Coffee maker ( didn't work) stuff were not very helpful and unfriendly when you request for something. Second day. They didn't clean properly the room. They didn't change bed sheets. My pillow had stained my makeup the day before ... I can write more and more about this hotel and never end. disappointed. I am a frequent traveler and I have been and many hotels. This one is terrible.

Noisy but clean
Hotel a bit run down but very spacious clean room. Walls were paper thin, we could even hear snoring in next room. We had to ask reception to ask another neighbouring room to keep noise down but I think we could only hear them because of poor sound insulation. Breakfast is good but some cereal and bread products were quite stale.
