"Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! The grounds are incredible. They are filled with beautiful flowers and three different hiking trails. The room was excellent—very spacious, beautiful views of the forest, and we were able to see animals right outside our window. The restaurant on premise was wonderful for all meals. The staff went out of their way to help. Our flight got cancelled, and they reached out proactively and were able to book us a different driver from the airport to hotel. All tours can be booked on site. Truly wonderful experience! "

"Very helpful and friendly staff available to book last minute excursions and provide recommendations, including dealing with a flat tire. Breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to restaurants in Santa Elena and short distance to many activities in the Monteverde area. Highly recommend."

"This is a cozy establishment with a lot of characters. My room is very clean and roomy. A beautiful and quiet flowered ground right at my doorstep provides relaxation (with a glass of wine) at the end of busy days. A very cute residential baby goat kept me company sometimes. The manager Miguel was so helpful. Thank you! Yes I recommend it. "

"Room was clean and well prepared. A little tight for 3 people but perfect for a couple. Sergio and Katya are excellent hosts. Delicious breakfasts. Would definitely stay with Sergio and Katya if I come back to Monteverde !! "

"Our room was at the top of the hill which was a great view, but no soundproofing. It was loud. The towels and the shampoo/body wash were subpar. We had a car so did not have to rely on the shuttle but a shuttle is provided. We did the night walk which was fun but way too long. An hour would have been plenty. "

"Although the hotel is meant to be rustic and it very much is, it is lacking in some areas. The bed could have been more comfortable. The bed linens need to be updated. A coffee maker was more necessary than the furnished refrigerator. "
