"This was my family's second stay at Hotel Don taco. I love it there! The room was great - the restaurant and bar in the hotel is convenient with great food and staff. The staff is always helpful. It helps if you speak Spanish as they do not always speak English perfectly but that is true all over Costa Rica except at the big tourist places, airport etc. The best amenity of the hotel is the resident dog, Paco, who we want to adopt every time we visit. He's wonderful. The staff is great and the village of Santa Elena very accessible from the hotel, yet its just far enough the village to be mainly quiet and gorgeous views of the sky and mountains day and night. "

"Monteverde is Heaven on Earth. The Cloud Forest Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy it. Clean, spacious and relaxing rooms. Fabulous restaurant with Incredible views. The property is beautifully maintained. Probably the biggest asset are the staff. The front desk staff provided a wonderful welcome and then continued to help with advice and bookings throughout our stay. They were thoroughly professional and always very yfriendly. The restaurant staff are fabulous. Great attention to detail and humour, all while working a very busy restaurant. Costa Ricans are friendly, but the staff at Cloud Forest are on another level entirely. Bravo!"

"Staff was wonderful. Room had everything you could need. The omelette was super delicious for breakfast. The hot tub was very clean and relaxing. We had monkeys visit us almost every morning. "

"Amazing staff and absolutely delicious breakfast!! Property was well maintained and welcoming, and the fireplace was lovely in the evening. The rooms are cozy, with spacious modern bathrooms, warm water, and good pressure, which was especially wonderful after a long day of activities. There is limited storage for clothing, just 2 small benches and a few hooks - fine for a solo traveler but could get a bit crowded with 2 people. Special thanks to Jocelyn and Diego for making excellent tour recommendations and coordinating everything, including transportation. They were incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect! Can't wait to return. "

"We absolutely loved out stay at Senda Monteverde. The grounds are gorgeous and have access to a beautiful hiking trail just out the back. They have a new pool and hot tubs that made our experience even more relaxing. Their restaurant is delicious. We ended up eating there for multiple meals and were happy with our choices every time. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind. They are very thoughtful and helped us with any bookings we needed. We needed a ride to the airport at 2am and they easily arranged this for us and even had a to-go breakfast ready for us with the security guard at the front desk to take with us. We would 100% stay here again!"

"Room had spider webs. Hair from previous guests on the floor. Rooms are dark. Staff was not helpful. Requested towels since cleaning staff removed old towels and did not replace. Told the front desk before leaving out to dinner. Returned with no change. Front desk response was he sent a message. "
