Es súper friendly y lindo, muy bueno para desayunar, comer, trabajar Áreas comunes lindas y personal amable Solamente que mi experiencia fue mala porque me dieron una habitación distinta a la que reservé, la habitación estaba muy bonita pero se metían muchos animalitos, una noche mi habitación estaba llena de lagartijas, lo reporté y no me cambiaron de habitación, fue incomodo y también le faltaba agua a la habitación por las mañanas Creo que de haber solucionado el incidente de los animalitos, hubier disfrutado mucho más mi estancia

I enjoyed the service and the activities the staff offered, such as the pool party, yoga and mindfulness sessions. The water dispenser didn’t work during my stay, so it was uncomfortable to refill the water bottles, because we (the guests) had to use a knife to open the water faucets. The food is good and the drinks are amazing!

Ete Hostel esta estrategicamente ubicado en la playa de Zicatela. Selina es un lugar con estilo muy tropical, ambiente agradable y juvenil. Matienen limpias sus instalaciones y tienen actividades diarias para promover la comunicación entre los huespedes. Los desayunos son muy ricos y a un precio justo. Si no tienen tolerancia al ruido, no pidas habitaciones a la orilla de la alberca porque todas las noches hay actividades nocturnas y el ruido es alto. En general un buen lugar para la comunidad digital nómada.

The hostel was nice. However the distribution of the rooms and facilities are not comfortable. Particularly for someone that has a physical condition, getting to the highest room categories involves climbing more than 100 steps.

Great location. Many activities at night. Super clean. It was nice sleeping at night with the sound of the waves. Our room was on the third floor and we had to climb 135 steps. Which for us was a nice exercise. But may not be for everyone.

We stayed at many Selinas around the world, but this one is honestly pretty terrible! During our 3-night stay, we had so many issues! First, they couldn’t find our booking, then, asked us to pay (even though it was prepaid 1.5 months in advance), then stated that they don’t have a room for us and we have to stay one night, check out and stay in another room - seriously? We booked 1.5 months in advance and there were plenty of rooms. We refused and after a lot of going back and forth, a room magically appeared. However, mid-stay the cleaner came to ask why we havent checked out yet as she has an earlier checkout date indicated for us. So again, we had to go to the reception and deal with them! The room itself was pretty basic, had horrible sewer smell coming out of the toilet and the AC pointing at the bed, so we managed to get sick. Using a fan wasn’t an option as it was creaking and evidently broken. There was no blanket provided and we couldn’t sleep almost at all during the first night as it was either too hot or too cold. Had to ask for the blanket at the reception twice - on the second attempt, we finally got one. For over $120 a night this experience is one of the worst we ever had. Ah, and if you want to sleep earlier than 3am every night, bring some earplugs with you as they will be blasting music half of the night

Great location. Good food, located right across from the beach and near lots of restaurants. I tried one of the teepees, which was fine for one person, if you don’t mind a shared bathroom situation. Great music, always fun people to talk to around one of the pools. Worked from a gorgeous perch in the library. Internet strong, fabulous views. Must walk up 75 steps to get to the roof bar, upper pool -!; some of the rooms, but worth it for the gorgeous views!

I guess mosquito’s are a given? The mango trees in the back where also infested with flies. Mosquitos in the bathroom as well. People smoke cigarettes wherever and it’s gross. no designated area for cigarette smokers.

Never stay at the Selina
Our stay was terrible! Me and my husband were very disappointed with the room. 1. Room was dirty there was sand on the floor and in bed. 2. Our door was broken so mosquitoes got in our room and we had the worst nights. We asked the staff to switch our rooms and they didn’t - they said there were no rooms available. No one came fix the door either.

Good enough but the shared room are not too clean and bathrooms were disgusting. Staff is petty cool and the location is great. If possible get a personal room.

Not a fan of the water going off occasionally. Nor the early morning band practice. Otherwise everything was perfect. Watch the stairs it's a long hike up especially with luggage. The staff was extremely helpful when I left my phone on a tour van. I got it back the next morning.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Worst hostel/hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I counted a 110 steps to get to the top (5/6th floor) if that’s where you’re room is (tents up there as well) pretty active person here but sucks overall- kitchen/cinema on “2nd floor”. Fridges are disgusting (smells like death in there tbh) with no reliable way to clean out old food. Pretty deceiving environment during the day- everyone appears to be working and calm but at night it’s pure chaos. Loud music playing at all hours, people yelling/speaking loudly, people smashing glass bottles and to top it off rosters crowing the whole night. Mattresses are hard, no blankets on a thin sheet for cover is provided. Too hot not to turn on the AC so you can imagine how it may feel not having a blanket. Palm roofs with openings so mosquitoes can fly in an out. Awful. Anyways, DON’T STAY HERE, save yourself from this horror. DON’T DO IT 😭

Great for socializing - not great for sleep/work
If you're looking for a great community feel and a chance to mix and mingle with new people - then Selina is the best choice! They offer welcome drinks and plenty of social opportunities. On the other hand, the Wifi is bad (couldn't connect in my room) and it's very loud - people would start yelling outside my room by 6am - and the washers/dryers were right behind the wall of my room.

En lineas generales la pasamos super bien con la excepción de contar con la visita de una rata grande al cuarto por 2 noches seguidas, y lo único que atinó el equipo del hotel fue colocar un carton en el hueco por donde estaba entrando :/ Luego de dos noche y a insistencia de nosotros nos cambiaron de cuarto. Dejó mucho que desear para ser un hostel de la marca Selina.
