Hotel in Seogwipo
It's close to waterfalls. In southern tip of Jeju. Was able to use it as base to climb Hallasan. Hallasan entrance is either a 30 minute or 60 minute taxi ride depending on the location of the trailhead. I paid 40 bucks to get to 60 minute trailhead by taxi. The hotel is economical. Prices per night averaged 40 to 50 bucks a night. My stay was in June. Bring your own toiletries. They only replenish water and towels. They have a bottle of shampoo and body wash in the shower. There are a few laundromats in the vicinity. The swimming pool was not in working order during my visit. They have a breakfast buffet for around 15 bucks. The cleanliness of the room was okay. Some reviews I read before booking the place had reviewers complaining about certain things, but I'd say that for the price, it's fine. If you want greeters bowing as you enter, try hotels near the Little Prince Museum near the west side of the island. We saw some upscale hotels there.

Close to public transport stops, cafes and shops. The hotel is large but very quiet and the hotel staff were very polite. There is a convenience store and a cafe bene within the hotel itself and in the basement a gym for customers to use. The room is nice and clean.

Only thing to like is spacious. The worst thing is the door does not close all the way unless you forcefully pull it. The hotel knows it because the post a warning at the front desk.

No issues with this hotel. I had a great stay. It is less than a 2 minute walk to Ocean Palace Hotel, where my friends stayed and the pick up location for day tours I booked through Viator. Close to the market and restaurants.

The hotel is affordable and at a good location close to shopping and waterfall. Be forewarned, the rooftop pool is only open from 9-6 with last entry at 530. You also required to wear a swim cap. The pool is also only open for 2 months in the summer. I had issues with the booking. Front desk staff was less than helpful with the situation and had a bad attitude. Be warned that Expedia has incorrect listing. There are no mountain view rooms.

totally not bad, but the location was difficult to find it. also, there were no amenities, so you need to but toothbrush and shampoo, etc... however, the staffs are quite friendly and made comfortable.

The staff is friendly but the hotel is somewhat disappointing. They don’t provide you with any amenities. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash come from one, huge bottle that previous people have used. When we got our room, our bottle was less than half full. You don’t even get a single pen or a notepad to use and when you ask for one at the front desk, they tell you to buy one at the convenience store. The carpets are extremely dirty. There were red stains that my family and I wondered whether it was blood or not. It is even worse in the buffet lounge. But you do get two complementary bottles of water. Overall this hotel isn’t meant for comfort. Just make sure you bring your own amenities, sleep, and check out.

Nice quiet hotel with nice views.
There is a market nearby and a food street as well, you will not have trouble finding food to eat. There is also some tourist spots nearby the hotel and some shops and lots of coffee shops. There is a waterfall near the hotel which is only a few minutes of driving. the parking entrance is inside an alley, you will need to leave your keys and they'll park the car for you. I find the staff are not very helpful nor friendly. Maybe it's Korea culture? They don't smile and if you ask them a question, they give very brief answers like they don't want to answer you.

Not the best choice
First and foremost, the breakfast buffet didn't have bacon and eggs as advertised, self return of dishes also a bit annoying as there were 4 servers. Urine on toilet seat of previous guest. View was nice but miniature compared to advertised photos. Parking was a disaster. Was told to park 100 meters away for reasons unknown. Fought with parking attendant and ended up parking next to hotel outside. Bedding, pillows, and bed quite satisfactory. Very comfy and slept well. Probably wouldn't stay here again as pool was shut down and emptied of water...in September. Very mediocre.

Decent hotel
The hotel is not really a full fledged 4 star hotel. The room was decent and comfortable. Breakfast was OK but quiet basic. The swimming pool is small, located on the roof and costs and extra payment of about 10$ per person to visit for each entrance. The carpets in the room and hallways are dirty and need replacement. It was a little difficult to find the hotel with the GPS, although it is centrally located and walking distance to the market and harbor. There are lots of place to eat near the hotel and also a western style cafe on the entrance floor.

Reception staff unhelpful. Carpets dirty and stained in room and dining room. Paper cups at breakfast for your hot and cold drinks. Only 1 bath towel per couple and then they ran out of bath towels and couldnt give us clean ones. No coffee or tea sachets in the room! Room view was awful.shower leaked into toilet area! No safe.
