Highly Recommended Hotel in Seoul

I have had a most wonderful stay at this beautiful and strategically located hotel in Seoul from 9th to 14th April recently! The reception staffs were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. I have absolutely no complaints at all and will definitely return to stay if I need to go to Seoul again in future!

Due to ecological reasons, slippers in the rooms are reused type and which was bit worn out. My associate and I don't feel very unconftable to use it, which made our stay in the hotel unconfortable.

Don’t like the policy: if any towels, curtains, pillow cas, bed sheets etc. got stain then customer will be charged. That is a super crazy. We have to check everything. Noticed that the sink has a crack, curtains have heavy stains. We notified them right away and requested another room. They switched the room for us but the second room had a stain on the duvet cover. We asked the house keeping to changed for us. She wasn’t happy about it and spoke to us in Korean which we didn’t understand but her body language showed us that she wasn’t happy. After she took off the duvet cover, there was a huge yellow/brownish on the actual blanket. We asked her to give us a complete new set. She again showed some frustration. The hotel needs to take a look at everything before they assign the room to customers. They should check for stains. We were happy that we checked because what if we didn’t then we would have a huge fines? We didn’t like that they even put a sign at the check in “be nice to our staff” what is that? The house keeper wasn’t nice to us.

Disappointing Experience

We were dissatisfied with our stay. Firstly, the hotel has very little lobby seating which we thought was odd. Our room was also very dusty upon arrival. However, the most egregious incident is when housekeeping insisted that we turn off our "Do not Disturb Indicator" and allow them to clean the room. On one occasion, the housekeeping staff entered our room while we were gone and the "Do Not Disturb" indicator was lit, and made up our room. This was unacceptable and incredibly invasive. It was hard to feel comfortable in our room knowing that housekeeping could at any time enter even with the "Do Not Disturb" indicator on. Very disappointed with the overall experience. On the same vacation, we stayed at Shilla Stay Mapo across the street, and Lotte City Hotel Mapo down the road. Both were superior experiences. I highly recommend anyone choosing a hotel in the Mapo area to go for one of those alternative options.

Please avoid this hotel at all cost. All room has central AC so you cannot control the room temperature. It is now 11/8 today at 9:50pm, and my room temperature is 28.5°C (81°F). I asked the front desk if they can help with this and they told to turn the fan on...but it doesn't help at all. The hotel is very old and everyrhing is outdated. The room is not cleaned well. I paid $220 per night and they don't even offer any extra water or toothpaste. If you want them, you should go to the first floor and buy them. The service doesn't feel like it is 4 star hotel, but more likely a motel or 2-3 star average... don't waste your time and money at here. The hotel room/furnitures are not maintained well and beds are not clean.

何度も宿泊はしています。 先月も麻浦に宿泊しましたが ソウルガーデンに宿泊は 今回久しぶりになります。 仁川から明洞行きリムジンバスで 一番最初に停まります。 バスレーンに入りバス停目の前が ホテルなのでとても便利 バス停は行き帰りと場所がちがいますが問題はないです。 地下鉄も麻浦駅か孔徳駅どちらでも大丈夫です。 市内バスも麻浦から孔徳駅近のバス停など使えますので自身は バス利用が多いです。 麻浦は、飲食店もたくさんあり 地下にも小さな食堂があり 安い飲食店がたくさんあります。 先月も利用しました。 今回は、歯の治療で夕食が食べられないのでキンパなどテイクアウトしました。 その他、孔徳シジャンが近いので 市場に出来立てお惣菜買いにいきました。 チャプチェ　即席キムチなど 市場の中には飲食店もありますので 食べることも出来ます。 ホテルの回りは不自由がないです。 ホテルも大きいので安心があります。今回は6階メインストリートに面した部屋でした。日本語出来る方もいるのでそれも安心かなと思います。 ホテル隣にセブンイレブンもあります。 予定により麻浦に宿泊していますので、これからも利用していきます。
