Hotel Murillo

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is great-getting there really sucks. It is on a tiny , pedestrian only street, tucked away in the old part of the city. I tried using my car’s GPS but it could not get us there. I think the hotel should note that the nearest drivable street is 200 yards away and that parking is in a public garage(that fills up) or on the street 300-400 yards away. We spent over an hour driving around trying to find the hotel and finding parking. The hotel is very old world charming and staff helpful. Once you’re there most of the city’s famous attractions and hundreds of restaurants are within walking distance."

"This hotel was excellent in many ways. It was very central and very easy to access many of the sights of Seville. All were within walking distance in less than 15 mins. Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly. It has a wonderful roof top terrace and pool though the pool is small. My only complaint was we were on the third floor and right under the terrace and we heard every scrape of furniture on the floor above us when furniture was being moved around or the terrace cleaned and what also sounded like water being sprayed in a sink on a regular basis. This lasted until midnight every night and while it did not stop us from sleeping people might find it annoying."

"This hotel was above my expectations. I knew it would be hard to find amidst the many small alleys of the Old Town but was surprised to receive a warm welcome and very detailed and comprehensive directions from the hotel a few days prior to my arrival. The surprises continued as I discovered more beautiful spaces within each area of the building, and the entire experience was tied together by the Mozart/Musical theme which added to the charm and ambience. I loved the thick, soft bathsheets (rather than towels), along with all the personal hygiene products and, I appreciated having a kettle (not just a coffee maker) and the delicious chocolates left at the bediside, The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient for all the tourist sites in the centre of town, and lots of cafes and restaurants/ I will definitely return here on my next visit to Seville. Thank you!"
